| Moore did cover both wing back positions (as well as up front) for Bury last season. Byron Moore- Total Games / Total Minutes: 44 / 2,758 Goals Scored: 8 Goals Assisted: 3 Most Common Position / Role & All Roles: Right-sided striker in a two / Left wing-back / Right wing-back Assessment: A surprise package in the sense that Lowe found an elegant solution to the absence of conventional wingers. Moore, hitherto almost always found on the right flank, carved a very specific niche of his own up top, which came to the fore before the signature of Maynard when there were fewer options to choose from. Important strikes in tricky away fixtures at Swindon Town and Colchester United respectively set the tone for having an important say in the course of the campaign. The nature of his playstyle and unfamiliarity with the requirements of a striker did at times mean he cut a frustrated figure, not always in sync with his partner. The Plan B for him was to come on in place of McFadzean at left wing-back in an even bolder strategy based on camping in the opposition’s third and working the space in tandem with Mayor to get in behind. It didn’t always come off because it sometimes appeared as though they were occupying the exact same area, but it did signify a greater degree of tactical flexibility on Lowe’s part than any recent predecessor to his post. What Next: Should stick around for a second season, and might have more consistent starts if the likes of Mayor and Maynard do move on. Positional versatility will be of even greater importance in a trimmed down roster. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

| ARGYLE returned from their successful pre-season training camp in Spain with their squad bolstered by a new signing – experienced forward Byron Moore.
Byron, 30, joined up with the Pilgrims in Alicante after leaving Sky Bet League One Bury, and completed his move to Home Park upon the squad’s return to England.
Byron is a former team-mate, not only of the four ex-Shakers to have already made the summer move from Gigg Lane – Will Aimson, Danny Mayor, Will Telford and Callum McFadzean – but also Argyle manager Ryan Lowe and his assistant Steven Schumacher, and Pilgrims Antoni Sarcevic and Joel Grant.
After coming through the Academy at Crewe Alexandra, Byron made nearly 300 appearances for the Railwaymen, scoring 34 goals and assisting in another 40, and being twice a Wembley winner – scoring in the 2012 League Two play-off final and playing in the following season’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.
Two two-season spells in League One, with Port Vale and Bristol Rovers, followed before Byron linked up with former Crewe team-mates Ryan and Steven at Gigg Lane and added another promotion to his cv.
Welcome to Home Park, Byron |

Perhaps our Gambian friend could open his bulging wallet He learnt off Brent, use other people money Its little wonder he picked on Argyle with the amount of likes he got for that football shirt. Still he'll never be able to apply the coup de grace on the long game without everyone finally twigging. Worth getting banned from FC as long as really innocent dribblers dont get reamed by him subsequently |

Do not think that right, just signed defender David Wheater Just confirmed- [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]ARGYLE defender Ashley Smith-Brown has joined fellow Sky Bet League Two side Oldham Athletic on a season-long loan. Ashley arrived at Home Park in summer 2018 from Manchester City, having previously enjoyed loan spells at NAC Breda, Hearts and Oxford United. Last season, Ashley made 37 appearances for the Pilgrims, including 31 in Sky Bet League One, operating on either flank of defence. His debut came in the 2018-19 season opener at the Bescot Stadium, playing 87 minutes in the 2-1 defeat to Walsall. Ashley scored his first goal for the Pilgrims in a 5-1 victory over Rochdale at Home Park in February 2019, where he curled home an unstoppable drive from the edge of the area. The move is subject to EFL approval. |

Hey ho. same here especially as he would suit a wing back postition more than the full back one we had last season but nevermind. |
