Threadbare at the mo, Ryan has some work to do.

There is still no word about the future of out-of-contract Plymouth Argyle playmaker Ruben Lameiras.

New Pilgrims’ boss Ryan Lowe had stated earlier this week that he wanted to know by Thursday morning whether Lameiras would be accepting a new deal to stay at Home Park or leaving.

But as of late Thursday afternoon there had been no word about that happening.

An Argyle spokesman told Plymouth Live: “The club has nothing further to add at the moment to Ryan’s comment on Tuesday that he would like a decision from Ruben Lameiras on his future by Thursday morning.”

Earlier on Thursday, national sports journalist Pete O’Rourke reported that Lameiras had turned down the chance to move to Bulgarian side CSKA Sofia.

CSKA signed another out-of-contract Pilgrims’ star, Graham Carey, on a two-year contract on Tuesday.

Lameiras has been linked with a number of clubs this close season, including the Championship trio of Cardiff City, Charlton Athletic and Swansea City.

Out-of-contract quartet Ryan Edwards, Yann Songo'o, Carey and David Fox have already announced they are leaving Argyle.
