More of a minimalist vibe I'd say. It's a bit like the emperors new clothes. It wouldn't be beyond Nools skills to sell the mankover as complete to the sheeple.

The County Ground still has very tall floodlights as a focal point in the otherwise blandness of Swindon.

Has work come to a complete halt now ??
I have another email ( brief) from strategic planning officer saying "we are working the issues" but nothing else
Won't push it as they politely always answer.
Quite clear that the drainage issues on Brents side are untouched whilst SWW have completed their contracted work
Reading between the lines Brent is simply refusing to comply or more to the point pay for it
Must be getting very close to the blackmail agenda Brent usually invokes

All web cams have been switched off by the look of it.  No point having them on if no more work is being done.  I bet this time next season in L2 the half demolished stand will still look exactly as it is now.  Hallett's and brent's Argo is a total disaster from top to bottom.  Just sell up hallett so maybe we can get a proper owner in who will actually build us a stand worthy of the name.

HALLETT OUT NOW
BRENTS OUT NOW

What a strange coincidence. Several times that a picture has been posted on here of absolutely feck all happening, the web cams have suddenly become unavailable?

Millmoor had (it was still there last time I went to Rotherham) the highest floodlights I’ve ever seen.

30 years of watching, suspect this will be my last. Getting less and less interested in checking how they do now

Leeds Utd were the tallest I’ve seen back in the day in the 70s...think they might have held a record of some kind for being the tallest if I can remember!! Amazing what nonsense you accumulate over the years Very Happy

Absolutely Zilch seems to happening up there since the roof came off. So your post looks to have value and substance.

I might know more in about 10 days time.

You'd think there would be workers crawling all over it. Even on a Sunday if there's a time-frame to be met!

Come to think of it the Gulls still have tall floodlights quite prominent on the Torquay skyline.

They also have a 'liveplay' scoreboard that makes our Ipad look conference south level.

I think Plainmorg is an excellent little ground at lower level I enjoy going up there unlike the half arsed shit tip at HP, yes the screen is very good works very well. Probably too expensive and professional for little austerity Argo.

Will there be a party in 12 days to celebrate 1 year of inaction?

As Argyle3 says a year of inaction is upon us
Any reputable contractors would have done the entire work seen to date in 2 weeks tops and that's being generous...
Planning permission to construct/build anything doesn't exist period
Perhaps we should have a sweepstake as to when Brent will pull his emergency parachute routine and outright blackmail the Council over the drainage issues on the club's side that Bent refuses to pay for
