| Agree don't think fests are what they used to be, certainly the earlier Glastos were an EXPERIENCE to behold, before it became santitised by the internet and corporate masses, or maybe it's an age thang also for me, |

| We employed bouncers from Union st to help out in '86. that was a big mistake. They made matters far worse for us. The aquilla were a bit of a problem and so too the Convoy brew crew. Didn't really get too much rasta dealing problems from bristol that used to cause issues at glasto. Festivals went too mainstream with the inevitable attraction of the wrong sorts. The raves took it up honourably for a while, but history is littered with alcohol and police ruining fayres. The police instructions and behaviour at the beanfield were a disgrace, and a lot of people descended on the elephant in '86 rightly seething from their treatment. Where are they all now ? | Today was the first time I realised that the new roof is going to be a cantilever, It is being taken higher but will not cover the Mayflower Terrace as that part would be to heavy for it. |

| Linton Kwesi Johnson & The Dennis Bovell Dub Band at Elephant Fayre...
Truly epic.
There was a TSW documentary about it one year.
Happy days. |

I'm not sure where you heard that, TG. The whole point (and definition) of cantilever is to dispense with the need for girt big pillars holding the roof up. Our rusty uprights are staying. |

From the workmen this morning I said the other three side are cantilever but understood this is just a replacement roof, it going up by two metres and the old boardroom is not coming down just the outside being cladded to blend in like the rest of the development. |

| Double wake me up when this nightmare is over.
I'd rather bulldoze the lot and wait 5 years till it can be done properly. |

Yep, what the mankover is getting is basically a like for like replacement of what they have just removed. A proper cantilever roof should need big stanchions dropped into the ground behind the stand and external trusses to support it. The mankover is going to look shit if it ever gets finished. |

| Just caught this snap of Brenty and his boardroom chicks all nice, warm and cosy in their nest made of dead Aviva lemmings. How wonderful of the lemmigs to give up their lives for such a worthy cause. Nature at work. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Not sure what to make of that. Looks like an amendment to the 26/01/18 application or discharge but now relating to condition 15 I notice this.... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]When did they dump those portable changing rooms in position ?? Or was 3rd September the date they claim a contract was signed. If the 3rd September relates to work starting overall its somewhat comical bearing in mind they were knocking outhouses down in April/May Am guessing an application to regularise those changing rooms. Maybe not I didnt mention before but have the full email from Darren Dulling at PCC (part of which I reproduced here) and he somewhat pointedly attached a link for making a complaint about work being done outside planning. Very strange because I had made absolutely no reference to that whatsoever chatting to him or asked for it....period The following day Jon Back puts in that application....lol |

| Just let them get on with it now can no longer be arsed. Hallett in my mind appears worryingly from the same pod as Brent as others have said now. Comments over player funding for January concerning Brents daughter on the Board. 2 other females appointed by Brent likewise not been heard from since their arrival 30 year mortgage to Hallett for a mankover repayable to 2048 Brent still slithering around achieving nothing hoping for another payday to keep his train wreck companies afloat Complete basket case of a club under the current stewardship for sure |

| I see on PASOTI Nool reckons retaining the pillars is a good thing in order to retain the stand and it's 'Leitch' appearance.
Unbelievable. |

| Thing is it's not even a Leitch stand. It's just a very shit, cheaply built, piss poor imitation of one. Pull the pile of crap down and build a proper stand. |

| “It’s good to see that work is really progressing now as well. It’s exciting to see what it will end up like" “I’m not really sure, to be honest, how it will end up but it’s exciting" Maybe Wotton should have a chat with the project manager, I'm sure all his questions will be answered. |

| I'll wait till its done too see how badly that stand is going to go down with real fans who will twig finally that no roof over seats will not be popular for the majority off the season and the poor views will still be a problem in that stand due to pillars and seat positioning.
However its not the point really is it, the whole point of the redevelopment is to provide a non investing ex owner his crap shacks and make him money. |
