FFS just evolve into the century we should have done years ago. Scrap the bloody pillars, build a new stand with a new ethos and create a new fanbase other then the slobbering green taverners or the senior greens.

Judging by greens on screen photos clearly now showing "construction" I reckon Hallett and Brent have just told them to carry on with work ignore lack of planning and we'll blackmail the council if it comes to it.

To me, the Mayflower was never the same again after they boxed off the back of terrace to build the local company boxes, one of the many piecemeal reductions in capacity. Good to see them gone temporarily. They took away the feel of a praaappper terrace, it really was quite big, and a handy place to hide from the rain when the attendance was less than say 12000.

Is that the whole grandstand, or just the roof and supporting steel work ? Big difference.
