| Absolute garbage, every commentator is saying up the tempo, and play direct, again Kane is not in the game due to the tactics and take that twat Sterling off, absolutely embarrassing. We should be well ahead by now, yeah ok great header. |

| Was a great save by Pickford, just thinking if we still had dodgy Alladyce as England manager and Joe Hart in goal, we wouldn't be watching this game at all. |

England were excellent today after a nervous first 15 minutes and well worth the win,a keeper making some great saves has always been a key factor in successful teams. I'm no great fan of Sterling as a rule but to say he was crap today is total nonsense-constant threat to the Swedish defence all afternoon, all that was missing was a goal as the icing on the cake.Bleddy hell, seems like a lifetime ago that England reached a semi and i suppose for many watching today,it is. Can't see any reason why England shouldn't get through to the final now, probably rather play Russia notwithstanding home advantage. |

| I'd add Henderson to your list Ears, gets overlooked imo, the water carrier, every successful team needs one. |

| I quite enjoyed that. A totally different performance from England from the last couple of borefests, burt let's be honest, Sweden were poor, nothing like teams of the past. Maguire definitely the Jackie Charlton of the future in the air, and while not Kane's greatest game, his style of holding men off the ball does so remind me of our Micky Evans. Nice pre arranged drawing off the man for Maguire to head home. A word of praise for homegrown talent Southgate. Well done for sticking to your own beliefs and well done for continually attacking the opposition, even though 2 up.... hardly a derek Adams attribute. I like the "train" tactic and is a perfect answer to the manhandling in the box that has become such a destructive part of the game. Almost reminiscent of a set piece rugby union scrum. I predict premier teams will be doing this next season in the way Alf Ramsey's 442 was copied. And a great idea to push up the right back so far leaving 3 across the back, plenty given very few teams play twin central strikers these days. Somewhat different from the normal rushing wing back, more an extra very wide mid field option. Excellent tactics, and as for the possibility of Russia England ....oh errrrrr, don't pick up a lose ball you don't recognise. I sometimes think this whole world is just one big pantomime, almost a pre-ordained Douglas Adams.. |

| Great comments from Slave Bilic...... "we're playing as if we're still under the block". I wonder what block he was talking about ? LOL He has a point, there's still residual worry for the future and good reason for it. |

You're really not enjoying this World Cup are you? And I thought I was miserable Think have only missed two or three games, the whole tournament has been about events and tension rather than stunning quality footie. I actually missed it being scheduled on Weds and Thursday and will miss the routine of it when finished. Most of the games haven't been that enjoyable despite what the pundits say. |

| You're right there Aka. The standard of teams has dropped remarkably from tournaments passed. Awful bore fests in the main, with only a bit of partisan interest stirring any stumps. What are the odds on penalties and a hopeless Russia going through on a dubious shoot out ? Just why did FIFA give them the WC ? Good opportunity for a selfie though LOL Lovin' the Putin cheerleaders in the crowd trying to chivvy up their near seat neighbours...... just like the old days in that sense. |
