- Rather than sit around and wait for committees to be formed and Boards to be elected, I've contacted three anti-racism organisations - Searchlight/Hope Not Hate; Kick It Out (the anti racism campaign backed by the PFA) and I've spoken to my friends and colleagues at Plymouth UAF - asking for practical help and assistance in organising to combat these problems.
As I get more information back from each I'll post it here so that people know what these three groups can offer by way of literature, displays, posters, and some sort of campaigning presence at games. Thanks for that Andy, much appreciated. The sooner people realise it's not open season at Home Park, the better. I've had my first responses to my call for help. Kevin Treweeks and Hayley Kemp from Plymouth UAF have asked me to address a meeting of their group about the problem, and have offered any assistance we may need with leafleting a game, and have suggested a day of action at a nominated home game, involving Kick It Out, and any supporters who want to get involved, in conjunction with the Trust. I'll message Tim about this and see what he thinks. |

| I've also had a phone call from Danny Lynch from the Kick It Out campaign; he's very enthusiastic about bringing a Kick It Out roadshow to Argyle, as part of a day of action. I've circulated his details to the Trust, via Tim, as well as letting el Presidente know.
Hopefully we can bring this all together quickly and really make an impact. |

Hopefully we can bring this all together quickly and really make an impact. Personally, I'd like to see The Trust taking the lead on this. Given the clubs lack of activity when this issue first became apparent, and given The Ultras were formed by the club (like it or not, the group was touted as Ultra's when the group was formed, as proved by the links to the naming poll on Pasoti), I think an organisation independant of the club is best placed to lead this educational initiative. |

I don't. The club itself needs to respond directly to this. No reason at all that the Trust shouldn't assist. |

| I think it's both.
A short, sharp, very public awareness raising exercise (don't use the word 'education' - that means school to most of us), which is what Andy's getting together with brilliant speed.
Followed by an ongoing campaign, led by the Trust - with help from anybody who wants to get involved, and that definitely includes me - which holds the club to its obligations and keeps that awareness going. That includes 'hard' stuff like working with the police and stewards to make sure complaints are dealt with swiftly, and 'soft' stuff like the children's art competitions started by AAR and continued by the community department. |

You see, this is why everybodies opinion should be listened too. An excellent idea, and much better than mine. |

| Ahem. The being nice and group hugging is on the Trust count thread, not this one.
But thank you. |

I've been in constant contact with both the Trust and El Presidente on this issue. I've done a lot of the ground-work that's necessary to get something like this going. This morning I have spoken to Tim Chown - he, Woz and Gareth now have all the contact details for Danny at Kick It Out, and as I understand it, they will be liaising with the club to organise a day of action, as soon as possible, so i'm now leaving it in their very capable hands. As I've said, Danny at KIO is very enthusiastic about doing a range of events at Home Park, and other anti-racism groups are keen to help. I hope everything can be brought together as quickly as possible - this is too important an issue to be left to fester. |

| I believe it to be more a matter of breeding and parental role models. In my experience, racist parents produce racist kids etc etc etc.
I think it highly unlikely that the adults will change attitudes no matter what is said and done.

| I still don't understand the debate being shifted to opinions over there. the debate is continuing and it is THE issue about the club right now as evidenced by this morning's police statement and it's mention on the BBC's Late Kick Off last night. Maybe it's presumptous of me to assume the youngsters of the FV don't frequent that section too often, but they are the ones that need to follow the debate to understand right and wrong as it is understandable how easily they will follow the herd when a chant starts. I would think the EDL are rubbing their hands together about getting up to HP to exploit the situation...if they haven't already. |

We've already had EDL chanting at away games. Threads on pasoti about it were deleted. There's certainly a crossover from EDL to TCE, and the presence of those odious little cretins will only inflame the situation. |

| If you watch the highlights on Player, you can even hear the g*po chants clearly when Cole saves a header from the guy in the second half. The "penalty" incident at the end isn't on there, which is when the chants are audible on the youtube clip, but this is the official club highlights version! |
