I wonder why the sudden change of heart by Highways england? A pay off ? A promise of future works without tender process?
something must have happened. Ive heard on the grapevine that Brent is about to buy in to Exeter Chiefs. Two words there that don't go together - 'Brent' and 'buy'. He might try and weasel his way in there through a credit arrangement or sponsorship deal, but you can bet your life he won't be buying anything. There must be some land around there he wants on the cheap so he can get planning permission. |

Edited to add and Halletts £4.1 million trousered by Akkeron with the full knowledge of him and the Squire. Do you not find it odd that a supposed artists impression of what the final grandstand looks like which has supposedly been fully costed has the upper seats in grey rather than the green.....?? A minor point you'd say but no architect sanctioned that Cheap and nasty just how Brent loves it |

Have no doubt that he will shunt the Pavilions for a vast profit, whilst simultaneously putting responsibiity for 'continuous ice' in the hands of another but what's to be done about that? Nada. That's what.
If the fecker doesn't start spending Hallett's cash on the ground though, major questions need to be asked. He's already sold the pavillions for 5.5mil apparently. If I was a PCC council tax payer I'd be asking why the Pavilions was sold for £1 and then sold on within a few years ( with zero improvements being made in the meantime) for £5.5. |

It's the Tory way appaza we need this "private money" to help us out. Oh and don't forget the £2m Brent was given for running costs for providing continuous ice for ten years. |

| Just think for a second Pat. The guy was given the Pavilions for £1, £2 million to cover 2 years inherirted losses, and he soon sorted that out in 12 months with "staffing arrangements", and now £5.5 million ? Do me a favour Pat. Call me dumb if you like, but it seems rather well paid work to me. I personally call it corruption unless there is an unpublished connection for funding the new ice rink. I guess the sale price of the Pavilions was intended to be the funding of new ice at HHP, but slipping in a 200 people office block into the park was certainly not in the original deal. By the way, corruption and forced public asset sell offs are everywhere in these islands. Health, schools, parks, everywhere. If you haven't noticed, there really is no help for you. I knew Tudor years before his council leader days. A good grass root campaigner, a socialist sell out as a leader, symptomatic of how far the Tory Lite infection had spread into Blair's New Labour. That's been halted, and we'll see if the lesson has been learned next May. |

| I call it corruption too, I am merely pointing out that the 'Tory way' is with Tudor Evans also the Labour way. |
