| Me too. I have the same programme signed by all the players from both sides. |

| 4-1
David Nish 43', Roger Morgan 49', 67', Tony Currie 60'
Over 28,000 in attendance. Alf Ramsey was a miserable bugger when asked for autograph but gave it, albeit grudgingly.

| I was there also. I remember nothing about it except being excited that Norman Piper was playing, even though it was more to do with him bringing in local support. But Piper was a superbly skilful player. He once scored a superb goal from a free-kick that curved & dipped in the days that players didn't do that as routine - probably due to the really heavy leather balls in them there days. |

| I was there. I remember Dave Thomas was very good on the left wing. Piper was largely brought in to boost the crowd as was Colin Sullivan a year or so later for an U23 match at Home Park. Interesting that in those days Ramsey and Shepherdson were in charge of the U23s as well as the senior England team. The dipping free kick of Piper's I vaguely remember as well. Was it one of his 2 goals in the 6-1 boxing day win over Torquay round about the same time when Bickle scored the other 4? |

I haven't got a clue. All I can remember was the goal and supporters around looking astonished at the skill. |

From Memory... I'm not sure that all the players listed in the programme for the English team actually played? |

| I think I must have been as well, how many under 23s have been played at HP because I think I have attended 3 since about the late 60s? |

| I love the entertainment. The Royal Marine Band and then an unarmed combat display. Proper! |

| Yeah I'm with you Knecht. I'd much rather watch a bunch of men wrestling in vests. |

| Presumably D Bassett would be Harry Bassett? Remember the goalkeeper's name as well,i think Argyle played Hendon in the FA cup around about that time.Definitely remember Clive "the book" Thomas, very controversial referee; [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |
