He commented on Argyle/Albion being just tinpot set ups. only 2 days left of the early bird price for next season. I've had such a good weekend away with my lad watching the egg chasing and Maiden that I'm seriously thinking that white membership gives me the freedom to do other things with my leisure time as well as go to Argyle now and again. |

| There's plenty 'Janners' on the farm that seem to think the corners being filled and the extended roof over the terrace is a given, serve Brent right for being so sly when they see what phase 1 really provides.... |

I'm still not clear what this 'phase 1' actually provides. Presumably the corporate bit and changing rooms? Is the seating on the Mayflower terrace also included? Anyway, how long have there been phases? All the hallmarks of yet another Brent shafting of the supporters. |

All the hallmarks of yet another Brent shafting of the supporters. Only a matter of time before phases three and four come on the agenda. |

All the hallmarks of yet another Brent shafting of the supporters. The so call picture of phase one..well more like a drawing of the pitch that a 10 yr old could draw plus a few seats along the mayflower..thats about it Truely shocking no wonder jimmys getting the :Oink:to try slip /dupe the fans into letting this lump of shit go through on the quiet |

Actually thats a very very good point PP.....we are all assuming that seats are going in because Brents hand was somewhat forced a month ago over the mayflower seating. We all sat back and said thank feck for that but now seeing how devious he is are the seats part of phase 2....?? |

| I'd say seats on the terrace are phase one but will be uncovered, since the roof extension and the corners are being funded in phase 2 by unicorns? or a planetary alignment...... so is two covered tiers plus the exposed seated terrace really a three tier grandstand? which is what many on the farm think we are getting. |

| Stage 2.....which is not costed and has no time scale on when it will be built..... will probably only happen when attendance figures reach maximum or near about (and of course finance being available)......this will be the filling in of the two corners and extending the Grandstand roofing to cover the Mayflower terrace seats which where put in at stage 1. |

| Bournemouth came to conclusion filling in two corners wasn't financially viable for the Premier league. Anybody expecting it to happen at HP is deluded. |

Only 11,464 capacity at Bournemouth....so filling corners in wouldn't cover the demand that they have....only a new stadium will do that. |

| And of course, Zyph accidentally hits on other undercurrents of investment policy that the likes of Brent and Hallett have considered in their investment centered heads. "I'm here for the long term" ...from his own lips. So, the elephant in the room is a football club wanting to move out of the park, and/or gaining inappropriate use changes within the park in the next 10 years.
How does the refrain go ? ... "If Argyle ever want to compete at the highest level, the park has to be sacrificed for development". The classic tactic used by many football club profiteers, alongside the wage gamble/one year in the premiership/parachute routine favoured by foreign investors, as has been illustrated recently by Blackpool. Sits back and waits for the usual riposte. |

The only saving grace for any capacity increase after the mythical stage 2 is done is to knock down the devon port end including the grandstand deveonport corner and the corner linking with the lyndhurst and super size it with two tiers. there is space to do it behind the stand unlike lyndhurst and barn park wont get touched. the park wont need to get touched. However Brent has his eyes on something for the carpark. |

the park wont need to get touched. However Brent has his eyes on something for the carpark. Get real Angry. The Devonport knock down isn't going to happen. They have their beady eyes on Home Park, HHP and the continuing "degreening" of the park area around and including the council depot. You, as a fan, fantacise about a huge two tier kop Devonport. It's almost certain the Lyndhurst royal tree avenue won't get touched for obvious god save the queen stuff, but don't bank on the Barn Park..... they were give permission to build a "cliff" of an hotel overlooking the park as part of the Barn Park end. Get yourself down there outside the stadium and imagine just what it would have looked like if Brent had actually had the ability to carry such a plan through to completion. And all of it done on land that used to house a football club. |

Have any architects even been commissioned? Considering BDP were used last time and they are in the top 5 in this country and that didn't get built. |

| There does seem to be an anomaly re the roof on the JimSi corporate binge building where the Barn Park End of the roof has a pitch but not at the Devonport End ? Weird, must be some super new roofing material. Call me old fashioned but I keep worrying every time I think of the million that went on professional fees at Oldway before a brick was laid, let alone a maintenance regime completed. You just know this is all going to go badly wrong with the money running out, the Mayflower terrace being left as is but with the mortgage firmly in place.

This is austerity tory boy Brent we are talking about here, the ex banker turned unremarkable property developer who enlists the Green Taveners to do a paint job in the club lounge for free. Knock down the Demport? Yeah right, green Jim who has not overseen a brick being laid on any of his projects. |

Think I would rather have a rusting asbestos ridden pile of scrap for a bit longer than anything the Brent twins could come up with at the moment for peanuts money on a phased build. The prospect of a new owner coming in with proper plans is one worth hanging on for. |

On any refurbishment hidden problems at outset become an issue and especially on something of this size. I'd go 50/50 on your last sentence being spot on. Its not as if this clown has any building development experience to fall back on |
