You know it's really not worthwhile trying to have any form of sensible communication with you, when you can resort to comments like that. If there's any form of justice at all you'd be banned from this site, you do no credence at all to your argument, distaste and at times I would say justified arguments against Brent. Look forward to your mate's usual educated response. |

And yes, there we go, there's the classic 'don't worry too much about today, there'll be jam tomorrow' utter bollocks we are so used to from the likes of you, graiser.
Also utterly typical is seeing a guy who has been to the US and has some cash and imagining that this constitutes some kind of golden ticket. Haven't we seen this kind of thing before? How did that work out then? Like I said before, just doing the same thing over and over yet expecting different results = madness.
But of course while fans are fantasizing about a golden future they forget about a club which has been languishing for far too long in the 4th division, which has stumbled into the playoffs for two years with no promotion forthcoming and which needs significant investment NOW to try and ensure that history doesn't repeat itself. FFS. I'm not fantasising about anything old pal, but if it floats your boat to twist my comments to your agenda, you crack on, no doubt Statler and Waldorf will be along later to strut their stuff and impress us all with their comprehensive take on the English language. Classic behaviour from someone who knows they haven't got a leg to stand on. Cherrypick one point from a post. Reply to it flippantly and make yourself out to be some kind of ill-used martyr whose words are being twisted (which, of course, they aren't). Then ignore the substance of the post and go on to refer to two people who have nothing to do with the points I was trying to make (pretty uselessly because I don't even know who you are on about).
Given that it's clearly a waste of time making any serious points to you, no wonder people just give you the one word, four letter reply: it's basically all you deserve. Why thankyou kind sir, I bow to your alleged superior intellect. |

Have you been asleep for the last 5 years ? What career do you think the squire was forging for himself over the last 25 years ? Didn't seem to raise his ability to deliver on projects when finally dropping his ill gotten into some safe haven for old geezers. Not at all old chap, I assume your referring to Hallett, do you object to people making money for themselves ? I don't mind at all as long as it is proportionate to the value created and blood and sweat expended. In fact, I insist working people get the full value for the wealth they create. Sadly, that rarely happens. I am referring to Brent. My point, as you well know, was clear. Hallet's history is not a new entry to the long list of connected investment individuals that have rocked up ever since their sort smelled some safe profitable property deals in Plymouth. Your argument on this thread is bogus. Get a new one. Your writing twaddle, I wasn't referring to Brent, he's your obsession not mine, Hallett's earnt a bit of dosh, been associated with this club for less than a year and he's showing the colour of some of his money, Brent hasn't and we all have a pop, Hallett is and that also isn't floating anybody's boat, I get the feeling if Dawson pitched up and built a 30k stadium and called it Range Park, that'll be wrong as well, so many contradictions on here, but hey ho let's hope for a replay and get the reds back to HP and earn some more luchre. A complete straw man argument. You don't know anything about Hallett, his intentions, how he got his money and I doubt you'd ever hear of him before he rocked up here. I think we've earnt the right to be mistrustful of anyone proposing a bright new dawn having seen so many false ones. Your right I don't know nothing about Hallett, and nor do you. Looking forward to seeing the loot from the u s of a. Wonder where he was in 2013 when wrathall was allowed back ? |

I tend to agree. It makes little difference who owns the club if their primary motivation is their own profit. To that end SRG/Todd handover to Guilfoyle/Ridsdale to Heaney Brent and on to Hallett (should that happen in the end) is just passing the baton from one version of the same thing to the next. The name above the door makes no difference because the song remains the same and they are all essentially venture capitalists dedicated to venturing as little capital as possible. That said I don't actually expect them to lose money and nor do I mind them making a reasonable profit out of their involvement but the risk always seems to be loaded against the club with the profits all being diverted elsewhere. If nobody is ever going to come along and do a Jack Walker I'd much rather we were a fan/trust-owned club than just an investment vehicle for suited types. The constant pleading of poverty is wearing a bit thin though. Hallett's "£5m" and the Liverpool £1m on top of the Wembley/Play-Off money, the Nelson fee and the Mason windfall must surely mean that the clubs coffers are in an unusually healthy state at present... I'm all for sustainability and I've never advocated that we spend money we don't have but right now we must have resources available to be a little more ambitious than settling on our latest couple of signings. Brent having a little chuckle when asked during the TV interview if there would be funding for the team coming out of all of this was as chilling as it was telling. |

| As long as the club keep within their long held remit and don't try and push usage for their own profit that would be detrimental to the park as a whole, I couldn't care less anymore. If there is still a desire to steal a corner or two from the viewing set up, I would be most surprised. No "working group/contingency" fans would agree to that, surely, but in the end the consultation fans will be used to give rubber stamp credibility for what the owners always envisaged. Within the footprint, and within the confines of the universe and life itself, the whole exercise will be highly amusing, no doubt.
Unlike most on here, I'm a fan of old and new fusion. When I pop my clogs, I would like to think something about Home Park still resembled my times spent there. |

I think you're right there GD. As instructive as the names on the Working Group will be, the names of those who applied to be on it but were kicked into the long grass may be of more interest. Ive heard a couple names who applied but were knocked back, and those names suggest to me that the tide is turning and cronyism no longer rules at Home Park. |

That would certainly be an encouraging start, albeit to a cheap option and one that doesn't take into account any future progress the club may make. |
