| Top v bottom? Anyone who didn't know better would say Argo is the team propping up L2. Fully expect Cambridge to at least draw. |

| Another shocking 'performance'. We're on borrowed time in the top 3. |

| Just shows how utterly shight this division is......Host of rejects crocks and non leaguers and we're top of the league. Either Del Bhey is working magic or the other clubs are even more dire |

Either Del Bhey is working magic or the other clubs are even more dire It's a tad bizzarre. We're top o' the league without even having had a full 90 minutes of playing well. It's pretty clear Adams has looked to pack the squad with beast-like figures who out-muscle and wear down the opposition, giving Carey license to do what he does. We still look likely to concede though. Cambridge are bottom and they still carved out a dozen or more chances. It ain't pretty but we just need to grind our way out of this dogshit league. |

| If anybody that actually went to the game couldn't notice the improvement in our team you need to get your head out of the clouds, we played some good stuff in patches and the consistency will come.
What was it today, 5 changes to a team that won 5 on the trot.
As far as I'm concerned this seasons team is already better than last season's, especially in defence.

| We played quite well..but lets have it rite cambridge were no great shakes to much passing when they should of went for the kil at 1-0 and should have came in at HT 3-0 instead 2nd half more cambridge but we did have a dodgie last 10mins thought Fox had a good game as well as garita impressive McCormick again bailed us out with 3 good saves iam not a religous man but thank god the there strikers were useless |

| Superbly clinical finish from Carey for the first goal-far too good for this division. |

| Only 7000 at the game the fans obviously know Brent wont back a promotion push with proper investment in the team come January, coupled with the fact his ownership of Homepark is a grim prospect for all but the Bumlickey. |

| the game was ok Not perfect by any means but good for the most part anyways. the defence is easy to pick apart and slow when faced with speed this something that needs to be address before we play pompey or example. We looked effective with knocking the ball about. The choir mr president forced on us all are determined to get twist and shout over like they tried with 3 little birds for whatever reason unknown to me they also adopted the will grigg song for jordan slew...
win is a win looked shakey near the end but well earnt 3 points onwards towards that shithole up the road. |

| The names on the shirts were largely the same from notts co but they looked far better than then. Cambridge had a fair bit of possession and plenty of chances. Happy to see.my first win at home park since 2007

| What an experience in the Grandstand. I would post some photos but i lost my phone on the last bus home in Tiverton.
The birds nest was truely outstanding, the jungle that is growing was even better, my best bit was the amazing time of pissing against a wall with the added quality of 2 skanky hand basins to wash my pissy hands in.
Me and Hugh W bumped into Starnes and Peter Jones, seems like " Ian is what Ian is ".
Shite experience of a day 1/10
The bestest part of the day was seeing Cerbs and the childbride at the station, i got a cracking picture of her arse 10/10

| We were pretty decent in the first half. Fox did lots of simple stuff very simply, as he did throughout, Garita looked to put his oppononet under pressure all the time and Slew's brilliant foray down the wing put it on a plate for Carey who finished with aplomb. Overall we were pretty dominant and Cambridge, playing 1 man up front, had to change things and did by putting another striker on. 1-0 at HT was the least we deserved.
The pattern we have come to accept as normal soon emerged in the 2nd half and Cambridge came into the game strongly, in comparison to how weak they had been before, and it took a spectacular save by McCormick to keep a header out and maintain the lead.
Then against the run of play Slew scored and it really should have been game over but wasn't. Cambridge plugged on and scored what seemed like the simplest of goals right through the middle of our midfield and defence. From our point of view it was a shocker to concede; from their's due reward for pressure and for at last finding some quality passing. After that another fine McCormick save from a free-kick basically saved the game for us.
A bit panicky come the end but we held out for a deserved, if not entirely convincing, 3 points.
Slew was something of an enigma. He clearly has pace and talent in his right foot but his left is another matter entirely. With him playing on the left wing this is something of a concern and he clearly wants the ball passed to him inside the FB rather than outside.
And then there was Carey... or maybe that should now be "Carey!" because pretty much everything he did with the ball was sensational. His one touch passing, little balls around the corner, weight of pass and vision are a joy to behold. He really is the key to our season: keep him fit and pass the ball to him, lots, and we'll not be far off at the season's end. His performance yesterday was a real 5 stars job and he was head and shoulders above the second best player on the pitch.
Lots of positives to take from the game: McCormick, Fox, Carey and Garita were all either very good or excellent and Slew, Bradley, Purrington (one of his best games for us yet, I thought) a rung down with nobody being particularly weak.
The worries remain though: we didn't kill the game off; we conceded a frankly shabby goal; it felt like we let Cambridge back into it rather than them doing anything special to achieve it.
But that's a noteworthy string of wins in the book for us and we sit atop the pile - for a team yet to genuinely impress that's a pretty impressive achievement. |

Argyle sitting at the top has a deja vu about it, just other teams below them. Pompey look a threat so I watched on CH 5 last night and Doncaster looked even better. Can this Argyle side repeat the feat of the side from last season and remain in the top two for an age, but this time stay there rather than fall away. |
