They have received favourable fixtures in relation to the fact that they are not allowed to use 'their ground' after march - hence the league have arranged their home fixtures all early in the season, without thought to other Premier clubs. They have NIL home fixtures scheduled for January, ONE in February and ONE in march.
Under the FA rules they are not allowed to go higher in the pyramid system than Step 6, where they are now, irrespective of what position they finish. If Exeter City reserves and Torquay Utd reserves joined the league you could end up with those clubs all in the top three and therefor no club could ever get promotion ( despite the arguments over that).
There is a vast difference between A Professional Club using full time contract players and a club in our Premier League using players from time to time who are registered with them.
WHY have a club in a pyramid system that cannot move up the pyramid, but just sets its self against others in that league. Why, because Argyle do not have the money or the initiative to arrange a reserve league for professional clubs in the southern half of England.
Argyle bring nothing to football in the South West, nothing to the superb Swpl, nothing to liaise with local clubs and are completely devoid of any sense of loyalty to the South West local clubs who strive so hard to develop this pyramid system. To be fair Dane there isn't a proper reserve league in place ever since the Elite Player Performance Plan kicked in a few years back and the old Wales and West Combination was binned, Your frustration is shared by other clubs who were against Argyle being allowed in as everyone has to pander to them and they offer nothing back. Then when they got fed up with it they sacked it off |

| I'm sorry but other teams in that league wouldn't complain if they was in argyles position, Mountain out of a molehill, Argyle treat it as another game so should they, Wouldn't complain if they played a Chelsea or a Utd and they played some first team players against them.

| Does see unfair that we've suddenly started playing first-teamers. I thought it was supposed to be the U21s only? It unbalances the Peninsula league if some teams play against our kids, and others have to play against half our first team.
The league should have put some restrictions on who Argyle could play before they agreed to let them in. |

| Argyle did the same when they were last in the SWL-saw people like Buzsacky, Djordic, Hodges and Barness playing against Falmouth one evening at Manadon [most one sided 0-0 ever].First teamers playing in the SWL isn't likely to happen that often but the anger of clubs like St Austell is understandable when they cop it, especially if they're in contention. The league knew what to expect though when they admitted Argyle-presumably there was some democracy involved in the decision? Utter waste of time for first team people like those fielded last night [apart from the 90 minutes football factor] but Argyle are in a difficult situation with the lack of quality reserve opposition available. |

| As has been pointed out already, this inst the first time Argyle have entered the local leagues, and each and every time they have, there has been problems.

| FWIW AFC Snozzle no longer seem to have a problem with what Argyle are doing. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

| That's the PC response, I'm sure behind close doors they wont have the same outlook. Id be furious, luckily we have got Argyle on a Saturday in a few weeks time which means there will be limited first team players playing which will give us at least a fighting chance. |

| Match Update 3rd Sep 032016
Falmouth Town (2) 4 Plymouth Argyle Reserves (0) 1
Andrew Westgarth’s Falmouth Town side produced another stunning display following the midweek victory at Godolphin. This time it was Argyle Reserves who had their unbeaten record demolished as Town moved above the visitors and into third place in the SWPL Premier Division.
Town got off to a flying start and were 2-0 up within 10 minutes. With two minutes played top scorer Rob Wearne reacted first when the Argyle keeper parried a cross to head into the corner to score his eighth goal of the season and his 50th for the club. Eight minutes later Ed Timmons hit a spectacular shot 25 yards out on the right hand side that flew past the keeper into the far corner; a great goal.
Argyle were stunned but came back playing some nice football but were unable to penetrate Town’s resolute defence. Their best effort of the half came from a free-kick just outside the box that looked goal bound but keeper Danny Burrows, standing in for the absent Ryan Barnes, produced an excellent diving save to push the ball around the post for a corner.
Town came out for the second period in determined mood and it took them only 11 minutes to stretch their lead. An Argyle defender handled on the edge of the area and Dan Richardson stepped up to hit a superb free-kick over the wall and into the top right hand corner.
Town were now playing some great football and it was no surprise when they went 4-0 up. Marcello Jones, Town’s signing from AC Milan, scored with his first touch after coming on as a substitute. Rob Wearne headed a free-kick back across goal for the youngster to score from two yards out; his third goal for the club in as many games.
Plymouth Argyle gained a late consolation goal after 88 minutes, probably deserved as they contributed a lot to a great match. Danny Burrows made another fine save and Argyle’s Ben Steer was the first to react to the loose ball to score from close range.
All in all a great team performance from Town with every player contributing to another very good win.
