| good win, far better performance than the last home game but the team is still some way off being a team rather than 11 players. there where still many errors and crossed wires that if we played a better team they would have punished us. Defence still worries me when faced with pace. Carey pretty much did it all today where the goals are concerned he has probably got a few clubs interested more so now. |

| Didn't go but it sounded like another terrible 'performance'. Better team lost. Again. |

| If Carey gets injured we're screwed. Just like last season. |

| The game was no classic.
We won thanks to Carey and some dogged, verging on panicky at times, defending.
The only person who knows for sure that he meant the first goal was Carey himself. It was one of those curling free-kicks banged in hard and low towards the back stick. Any sort of touch and it was almost a certain goal; no touch and it was going in anyway.
His second was very classy. He drove in from the right-hand side, waltzed past three defenders and banged it home from close range. Brilliant.
We still look like a very bitty side: very little cohesion and no flow.
A win is a win however and we won't see many teams bigger than Mansfield this season. |

| Winning breeds confidence, which, I assume is the most important thing at this stage of the season.
Once players start to settle and pick their heads up hopefully the performances will follow suit. |

That's about right. There were quite a few similarities to the first home game against Luton, played quite well first half, second half got a bit messy and disjointed but at least we somehow managed not to concede. 3 points in the bag |

Once players start to settle and pick their heads up hopefully the performances will follow suit. Too true. The goals by Carey were excellent, let us hope he can continue that goal scoring habit in the next few games. |

| 3 points in the ''momentum engine'' That'll do after 4 games. Still got Ozzy in the wings then nearer Xmas the cult hero is back to ruffle a few defenders. Onwards |

| And one more to come in by next weekend, if he keeps to the two loans he said he will bring into the squad. |
