| Can Roy's young guns be a bit more clinical and contain the threat of Bale? We feckin need to that's for sure. Personally I think we will win and convincingly to boot. After watching about half the other games the main threat is obviously Germany, Belgium were all huff and puff and quite disappointing, Italy despite having the worst team in fifty years look quite dangerous they have deffo turned up. Portugal was the Nani and Ronaldo show the rest weren't all that and Iceland excelled themselves bar Sigursson and Biarnasson don't look too strong (our Barni didn't do a lot wrong good on the old soldier). If I was Roy I wouldn't change a lot from last time only maybe use the subs bench a bit more readily. COYE! |

| Ps. I've already run the George Cross up the sixty foot flagpole outside my house, every window also covered with the same, the van is decked out in England pennants with a massive mural depicting George slaying a Russian dragon (with Putins face) down the side of it. My face is quite sore as I've just had a half and half tattoo over all it depicting the two flags, the date and my 5 0 predicted scoreline, what can possibly go wrong? I feckin love flags. |

| If we can't beat the sheep shaggers we should just come home, get Shrek to nobble jug lugs in the first minute and we should be fine. |

| I was happy with all of them v Russia except for Sterling. The problem is with no Lennon, Townsend or Walcott we don't have a wide like-for-like replacement so I guess he goes again - for an hour anyway.
The change I would like to see the most is ANYONE BUT KANE taking the corners. Get him in the middle where he can score and he probably will and it's all but job done.
Vardy is desperately unlucky not to be starting but I wouldn't want him out wide. |

| Bale is a fantastic player and would waltz into any world X1 I could think of. Reminds me of all the Giggs and Best references that would have topped off good England teams. But someone should tell him to get rid of his Beckhamesque topknot. Beckham was a pretty boy, but Garth looks like something from the planet of the apes. Not sure if it's Gaylan or Charlton Heston, who I never did meet at the Rifle Volunteer Inn. Looking forward to the game strangely. |

| I had a pint at the Volunteer only the other day, beer wasn't that good, didn't see Charlton Heston either. |

| I liked Chuck when I was a kid and unformed. But I have a theory Chuck Heston played so many roles in films where he never died, that it affected his brain. Probably thought he was immortal, and his politics followed from there. I reckon he's dead now. Just goes to show you can never tell how it will turn out.
Funny pub, not my idea of a place for a pint. No atmosphere. Food is sort of acceptable though, and you can always park up for the night..............source LB's Trip Advisor |

| Great atmosphere in Nice tonight with France eventually winning. One of my favourite European cities. Shit loads of English & Welsh who just happen to be here, and shed loads of Northern Irish who've stayed on from the Poland game. Happy days. |

| England unchanged. I hope we've found somebody other than Kane to take the corners. |

| It's the pace he likes just needs to hit the spot when he unloads. TBF you could say the same about Dier, needs to get in the box which he didn't do once last game. |

| But Dier is playing in a much more defensive role, Sterling is all but a striker. Chance missed, needs to improve his finishing foreshore. Come on England |

| England just on top. I'm enjoying a proper British game of footy. Sterling hopeless yet again. Ramsey the outstanding player for me. Bale not in it. Loving the effort. |

| You need world class players to win tournaments. Bale hasn't had a touch, and then, bang. |
