| Has there been any comment from the Reluctant Owner since Monday?
Anything in the local or national media about the way forward for the club in the wake of the Wembley capitulation?
Had we won on Monday I doubt he'd have been quite so invisible. C'mon James, show yourself! |

| The silence is a little strange. Not even his proxy mouthpieces have reported on James' lip quivering. |

| Webb was outside Wembley sharpish after the the match - which I know because I saw him (sorry - there's no link to Reuters on this one) and I had left about as early and as quickly as I could.
So there was no hanging around with his real pals afterwards - at least not at Wembley.
Not that I can see him being very welcome with the players anymore but it is some surprise that he didn't cram a last G&T and prawn sandwich down with JB and the rest of the suits or stay long enough to congratulate his AFC counterparts. |

| There was a bloke that looked a bit like Webby in the pub, he got called a cnut by someone and he said, I'm not Webb! I'm getting rid of this beard it's getting ridiculous now! His mates were pissing themselves as it had happened a few times that day. |

| Yes, very poor leadership from the man at the top. He really isn't very good at anything. I would have thought the local press would have tried to get a statement.

Also something I forgot after the day but after the Webb mistaken identity thing everybody that I could hear around me was saying what a twat he is and shouldn't be club Pres. |

Problem is there are still too many people who know nothing about what has been happening in and around the club since JB turned up. Some people I met Monday didn't even know one of the reasons why Darren Purse left! _______________________________________ I'm one of the common people so says the wife! | The last time I saw Webby after a Wimbledon away game was at Norbiton station. He was with Newell and Jamieson that night, skulking on the wrong side of the tracks. I guess these days he's got so many other commitments, and most targets have been achieved, so why hang around ? I thought he was with his boy. |

| I see that Jamieson made it into the prawn sandwich section at Wembley. Wonder who else took advantage of James' patronage? |

| Chris Webb + son, Ian Newell plus other family members on the concourse before the match with a box of buttonhole flowers pinning them on each other about 1-00pmish. |

He's probably done his half a day for this week. Any more demands and he'd have to charge double time. |

Tudor the loser made up full house of champagne socialists. Still remember Michael Foot on away terrace at Newport turning away an official asking if he wanted to go to boardroom, despite it being propper nawty before. |

| I think some people need to understand what socialism is. It is NOT against private limited companies. It is about a much fairer distribution of society wealth and control over important assets and utilities, not against private people making a reasonable profit for their efforts. And why would the council leader that loaned huge taxpayer sums and is still looking for Jimmy to do what he said he would do in the city, not take the opportunity of meeting on such an occasion ? Such pointless champagne socialism comments belong back in the 1950s. Michael Foot turned down invites after he left the Board because he didn't agree with the club buying the freehold. He stuck with that. Evans has never been against the purchase. The two are quite different. I have seen Evans on many an occasion in the city centre campaigning for various injustices while not in office. I haven't seen Michael Foot do that. Chalk and cheese. |

Bad Zyph. Mentioning The Chris Webb's son should see a white feather winging its way to you drekly. |

Haha. Sadly the flaccid organ of the press which is the Herald will sit limply by and wait for Brent to sweep a few crumbs off his table. Because asking for a statement could start a train of thought: isn't it strange that such a committed owner who loves the club so much hasn't reacted. Hmm, maybe he is not the combination of Rockerfeller and saint that we have portrayed him as. Much better to do nothing, preserve the status quo, not lift the lid and investigate what is actually going on at the club. Typical useless Herald. |

| I bet Brent is taking it easy on a sun kissed beach somewhere and not worrying about Argyle for a week or two. And while Argyle are on holiday, other L2 clubs are busy signing players and already preparing for next season.
According to the Herald, Argyle are three weeks behind others due to the Play-Offs. |

| What would Jimmy find to do on a sun kissed anything ? Nice to hear the Herald giving Jim cover for disappearing toute suite after Wembley. The truth is Argyle have been weeks behind other clubs every Summer ever since admin., and to be fair to the ex banker, the club under Sturrock et al was no better, always way behind the pace at this time of year.
So, I guess it's a club malaise that has carried through to the new ownership, a sort of unbelief. Maybe they should try and get one, a belief that is. Trouble is, no one really deep down believes in the man at the helm in a football sense, despite what they might tell him to his face. It's called enthusiasm, but who is enthused with a squatter, earning his crust. |
