| Fecking great stuff, we were the better team all round, no doubt about it, looked to me Derek set us up as the away side to stop those marauding full backs and it worked a treat, may not have been pretty but we didn't need pretty just the result and against a team with their away record I think Del Boy got it spot on. |

| Absolutely deserved win, can't remember McCormick having a shot to save-Argyle created the better chances from the off and were superior throughout aside from a spell at the start of the second half. Fantastic atmosphere tonight and achieved without any false crap, just a committed team whose effort transmitted itself to the fans and got the right response. Pompey are whining about their injuries apparently but feck 'em, didn't think they were as good as some of the ridiculous praise heaped on them when they won at HP in August and still don't. Only half a job done though and the objective now has to be to win and not look at Wembley as a "good day out" or whatever. But well done to all concerned for tonight-top performance and result. |

| It's weird and wonderful. There are times in any match when a player or a manager or the crowd does something so crass or vile that you desperately want the karma queen to intervene. The Pompey fans' hideous abuse of Luke McCormick at Fratton Park in both games this season was a spectacular own goal in the karma world. |

| [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Midfielder Hiram Boateng enjoys the post-match celebrations in the Argyle dressing room after their play-off semi-final success
MANAGER Derek Adams hailed the unity at Plymouth Argyle after his side secured a place in the League Two play-off final in dramatic style.
The Pilgrims will return to Wembley for the first time in 20 years after beating Portsmouth 3-2 on aggregate.
The semi-final second leg at a sold-out Home Park was goal-less and extra-time was beckoning when centre-back Peter Hartley wrote his name in Argyle folklore.
Adams was keen to share the credit around, not only among the players and his backroom staff, but everyone who works at the club.
He said:
"A manager needs help but everybody around about them''.
"I have had that from the players this season, the staff at this football club and the supporters as well''.
"We are all going back to Wembley and that's what you call unity. The football club has got unity."[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]They have every right to be jubilant tonight, considering. |

| Great win, delighted to be going to Wembley.
Enjoyed a great day aside from some police woman on her horse deliberately stomping on my foot. If you're selling tickets for block 19 then make sure the relevant turnstile is open, it feckin wasn't! |

fat Nikkkkkkkk spotted as well, must have been one hell of a lemon party there last night Nool looked a bit sour faced didn't he. Wonder if that was because he'd been forced to sit near the back or the fact he was sat by Warnock |

| Nice to see attacking the Demport in the second half was like it used to be, stepping up a gear. |

| Just watched in entirety on Sky catch up and amazed that Porky again got featured albeit cameras aimed at Warnock !! We must win at Wembley but of course thats tempered by the praise that will be levied on Sir Jimmy and in victory and promotion many will forgive him for taking the ground out of public ownership as well..... Double edged sword |

I think it will only be a one goal advantage thats sees the winners progress - 1-0, 2-1, 3-2, 4-3. I reckon whoever scores the first goal will go on to win the match. The sides are so close to each other, you could not fit a rolly paper between them.
A big crowd tomorrow and most of the Argyle fans will expect a performance. I just hope that Argyle do not freeze (they weathered the storm on Thursday in front of a big crowd) on the occasion.
Too close to call for such an important game.
Not selling alcohol during half-time, scandalous. And so it came to pass. |

| We were much the better team last night, Pompey huffed and puffed but second half you just felt the goal coming, proper edge of the seat stuff. Now leaves me with a dilemma, party with friends at a gig and after party down the south hams or go to Wemberlee? Wembury or Wemberlee? |
