I love the bottom end of town now, all cheap as well. Went to garden centre on way home and bought clematis plants and nasturtium seeds. Listened to match until reception dropped out just before goal. Now sat in silence eating humous wishing I was a superfan.
Approaching feckin ninja level for weird dippy shit shopping there.
Will trip the MI5 semantics alarm bell foreshore on Jutland day. Probably an extremist. I avoid the pasty quarter these days. The car parts shop is weirrrrrdd ! Thousands of parts all over the floor never picked up, just left there. I think it's time the owner packed it in. |

I'm not a huge fan of links courses generally, though I did have Country membership at Trevose for a couple years when we had a caravan at Treyarnon years ago. June/July time we used to walk over to the course (5mins away!) and tee off at around 6.30-7am. Home by 10 for breakfast just as the missus and nippers were getting up. Happy days. No, i managed to avoid the Himalayas! Very tempting to chuck a ball in it and play it on the way down but managed to resist. Never played at Trevose either, may well be the next one on the list. Links courses aren't my favourite either, so different from my own, but a game of golf is a game of golf I suppose. Had to give up at Minehead once because the wind was so strong it was almost like when playing football as a kid the ball would come back to you after taking a goal kick. Bude/North Cornwall is another funny one, blind holes all over the place, question of course knowledge really. Perranporth is another but for me, it's much more 'real' golf than the length-in-the-air and putting competitions that US golf has made the world game so much about |

- Golf this afternoon, slow cooked roast beef in the oven for tea and eaten with stupefaction after the events at Fratton park, dry tonight in preparation for golf tomorrow but extremely wet tomorrow night to belatedly celebrate the win today and hopefully me winning the tournament.
First round of golf at Sparkers after arriving back in the country this week. Bit of a culture shock after the manicured greens and fairways in Spain. Bleddy freezing as well. Got back in and warmed up a bit, settled down to watch Soccer Special and Mrs PP dragged me out shopping. (To be fair she did tell me on Friday but I forgot). Managed to catch brief snippets of commentary, left at 1-0 down, which meant a grumpy shopping experience, got back into the car turned on the radio to hear Houghton score (which later turned out to be Wylde), thinking it was the equalizer. Imagine my surprise when Drew Savage said those now famous words - Portsmouth 1 - 2 Argyle. Now waiting for the inevitable low which will follow on Tuesday. |

The big foreign food shop in Colin Camp is awesome, a huge bunch of coriander is 59p (would cost about £10 in Morry) the big bag of wraps were £1.39 and would cover a square metre of ground, I'm thinking of using them as membrane under the paths around the veg plot. Their spice collection is massive, good quality and very cheap. I can cook authentic foreign food with out leaving the parish and mixing with those nasty continental types that crowd the rest of the world. I also had a very nice coffee and custard tart in the Portugese cafe next to the vinyl shop which I browsed wondering why I sold most of my vinyl years ago. |

| Made a nice aluminium instrument console for my boat, re-discovering some of my old engineering skills in the process. Quite an enjoyable afternoon. |
