| Today, I shall be mainly tending my vegetables and walking through the Tamarside woods at Calstock. What are you doing ? But be warned. New superfan Simon Hallet, who has already been cannonised by the pasoti politburo for being a jolly good fellow, will be listening to the game live today, which will almost certainly make him a more committed fan than you have ever been. So, be wary, and only post here if you can prove you have a radio to hand, or you can withstand the disdain of the Home Park bishops with the resultant casting out from the parish. |

Today, i will be oiling my decking with suprise suprise Deck Oil! Hopefully it will be sunny and i can get my tits out for that all over tan look! Meanwhile back to our new found superfan Yanky Si, the life long fan who nobodys ever heard of, if he's such a big Argyle fan why is he getting involved with Brentmare who's kept the club small and crap for years?... There must be a Dollar to be made out of the freehold methinks..... [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]. |

| Another dry weekend, so mostly concentrating on not drinking. Chase the kids around and squeeze in listening to the game until we capitulate, at which point I'll probably do some housework in a bad mood. Halfway through House of Cards, S4 - which hasn't really been any good since S2 - but will probably cane more of that this evening. |

| Daughter's football this morning in Southampton, family staying over and going for a run at 3pm to avoid the commentary.
Like Innocent a dry weekend for me so will keep myself busy tonight to stop myself thinking about booze! |

Supermarket taking the p*ss out of me this morning by delivering a free miniature of Grand Marnier. 'Come on, just have a drink, you know you want to...' We'll make up for it on Tuesday. |

| Been shopping in Plymouth for rugs and a chair, didn't buy any but got plantains, scotch bonnets, curry leaves, halloumi, humous and some wicked big wrappy bread things and some coriander. I love the bottom end of town now, all cheap as well. Went to garden centre on way home and bought clematis plants and nasturtium seeds. Listened to match until reception dropped out just before goal. Now sat in silence eating humous wishing I was a superfan. |

You'll either go to the fort and stir up a fight between two other people and slope off before it kicks off big time or stay at home, my guess is the latter. |

Can't go wrong on a Saturday night, plenty of crowd cover and pissed people, just perfect for the extendable arm with attached groper ruse. Step 1: Identify man not to be messed with. Step 2: Verify presence of wife/girlfriend. Step 3: Deploy extendable arm with attached groper. Step 4: From a safe distance(at least nine feet and preferably with clear access to an exit in case all goes tits up) manoeuvre extendable arm with attached groper through crowded bar area and fiercely fondle the arse of man not to be messed withs' wife/girlfriend. Step 5: Swiftly retract artificial appendage and enjoy ensuing chaos.....from a very safe distance obviously. Kebab, cab, bed. Saturday nights don't get much better than that. |

I'd rather watch Argyle to be honest mate. |

| Big food shop this morning followed by late breakfast / early lunch in my favourite local. Back home and pottered around winding the missus up for a couple hours before listening to the 1st half of the game and then mincing around in the garden till about 6. Been on the Cobra today, very nice too. |

| Golf this afternoon, slow cooked roast beef in the oven for tea and eaten with stupefaction after the events at Fratton park, dry tonight in preparation for golf tomorrow but extremely wet tomorrow night to belatedly celebrate the win today and hopefully me winning the tournament. |

| Comps aside I guess, weekend golf is a chore. Four-balls stacked up everywhere. Does my head in. |

That is one huge advantage that Hurdwick has over most other courses, small club always in the shadow of Tavistock GC which means that weekends are not much busier than ordinary days and it was very quiet today, because most members will be playing in the tournament tomorrow. It'll be comparatively busy tomorrow but we'll be a four ball anyway which sort of dovetails in time wise with the other groups. Played at St Enodoc last week for the first time ever and was very surprised at how quiet that was, had no problem in getting a tee time or in completing the round In reasonable time. Lovely course though, good test of golf and stamina and got the round at half price via my county card. Happy days. |

| They price themselves out quite a lot generally I think. Did you bring the bunker into play on the 6th?
I'm not a huge fan of links courses generally, though I did have Country membership at Trevose for a couple years when we had a caravan at Treyarnon years ago. June/July time we used to walk over to the course (5mins away!) and tee off at around 6.30-7am. Home by 10 for breakfast just as the missus and nippers were getting up. Happy days. |

No, i managed to avoid the Himalayas! Very tempting to chuck a ball in it and play it on the way down but managed to resist. Never played at Trevose either, may well be the next one on the list. Links courses aren't my favourite either, so different from my own, but a game of golf is a game of golf I suppose. Had to give up at Minehead once because the wind was so strong it was almost like when playing football as a kid the ball would come back to you after taking a goal kick. Bude/North Cornwall is another funny one, blind holes all over the place, question of course knowledge really. |
