Serious question - who are the Senior Greens? I don't know if "senior" means "old" or "important".

I'm going to chuck my hat into the ring here. What about representation for those fans with a passing interest in the BBC1 gameshow Pointless? I'm sure there are many of us out there who feel totally underwhelmed by the latest goings on at the club Very Happy

Or perhaps they have an affiliation with the Navy ?

It seems that the establishment of a board with a view to getting the sinking ship HMS PAFC back on an even keel is taking second place to the Porky & Webb roadshow.

I think it is quite obvious that Jimbob Brent's honeymoon with the fans is coming to an end, the Aviva Boys, faithful as ever to their lord and master, will stay in line, but the real supporters are starting to tire of the lack of progress on just about any front. Nobody expects miracles, actually quite a few do but for the time being there is a window in which the very dimmest of the dim can be ignored, but something needs to be being seen to be done, a strong board with good business and football experience would be a start.

Up the road we are of course hoping that Porky & Webb are installed as Jimbob's right and left hand men, a nice schism in the support could do much to keep the spiral toward the Blue Square going.

Maybe we could join together and be called the nearly 40 to nearly 50, live a long way from HP, get games when he can if the wife/kid/work allows it and completely bald faction and save on letter headed stationary? Smile

You best wait for a bit 'til you're 50. I dunno, you youngsters - no patience.

The Senior Greens is anybody who wants to join up but is specifically aimed at the older fans. They hold meetings in the afternoons at the Far Post usually so it wouldn't be much use for those yet to retire.

Thinking some more about the GASboard makes me wonder just how a "fan" will be defined when it comes to making the choices. This is a can of worms itself. It's easy enough to count the ST holders and members of affiliated supporters' organisations but what if you are a ST holder, a VP and a Trust member? Would you get three votes?

Where do the exiles fit in? I suppose they could use the subscribers to Argyle World for that.

However they do it the lapsed fan will be excluded and it is them that need to be reached most of all.

Pandering to those who are included and will turn up anyway is pointless. Because if they are still involved now they always will be.

It's all very easy, other then those that want to have an individual voice there's one group that can speak for everyone, the Trust! United we stand, divided we fall..and all that!

I would suggest that this would be Brent's nightmare though, a split and powerless fan-base would be his ideal scenario.

There's Pasoti and ATD, AFT and PAST&DT, PASALB, PACSA, PASTA, PASNB, Senior Greens, FP Club, ST holders, Vice-Presidents and GTs Have I missed anybody?

The weird thing is that I suspect that the same core of people belong to most of the groups and could use both Pasoti and ATD, have a season ticket, attend the Fan Fests and support the GTs, belong to the VP club, spend their time living in London, Avon and the north, support youth development, drink in the FP club and are over 60!

Cant see it listed but dont forget North devon greens and swagers(south wales argyle supporters) were do they feature do they get a place on the board or not.

IMHO brent has not thought this through to many groups to have a place on GASB

Can I have a place to represent those who think this, however well intentioned, quango is an absolute load of bollocks and a vehicle for ego massaging, back biting, like the sound of my own voice pointless waste of time. Just give us a winning team Brenty, the rest will take care of itself. The Trust is all that is needed.

My understanding was that the vote would take place at HP on match day from those attending. If I have that right, that sounds so silly as to be pointless at best.

I have my Red Flag ready to support the Trust in its march on HP. So far it is the only organisation that is elected and accountable. (As an aside, I am "intrigued" that Edmund Shillabeer still has answered no questions either on here or on pasoti. I'm all for other routes of communication but this is 2012! It ought to be communication in other ways as well as via the internet. How on earth is he proposing to do it if he is elected?!) I understand some of Tony Cholwell's reservations about The Trust model but in the end The Trust should be perfectly capable of encompassing all other bodies without them losing their autonomy.

I'm going to vote for whoever The President endorses. I'm sure he'll do plenty of endorsing or is it ordaining.

Oi Knecht, you're in boy, Nooly has already elected you (actually a good foursome the lad proposes) along with Andy Symons, Postey and the old curmudgeon Chowell.

The Pres endorses 3 of that 4, you're probably more popular than Andy right now. pig
