Thought you'd've despised the bastion of 'Toryness' that is rugby union, mixed up foreshore. |

Top three is all that matters, Northampton, us and Oxford have a healthy cushion after today. The boon of finishing 2nd or 3rd is not having to listen to Queens 'We Are The Champions'. |

Given it's celtic heartlands, I would have thought it were more Whig than Tory, if indeed it's political at all at it's root. I see it as a game for the uniformed male trades and farmers. Amster lives in rugby land, if I'm not mistaken, so he's probably not got much choice. Footy is soooo uncool in much of down here. |

Ok, describing it as Tory in the celtic corners of Empire may be stretching it a touch, but it's still a haven of the middle class in Oireland and Jockland, Wales is a different animal where I'd agree it's embraced by the working class(and below) labour types. In England however it's played by, and even moreso watched by the white, middle/upper class set, and you'd be deluded if you didn't accept that 90+% of them were staunch Tories. |

Got my love for rugby by playing as a lad whilst attending a very Tory private school. Funnily enough I always hated playing football but loved playing rugby. As a spectator sport I watch all the internationals and six nations is my favourite competition full stop. As for football I love watching it as a social thing and the atmosphere is way better than club rugby on the whole which is why I have watched so much until Abrent that is. As for Les you'll never work me out mate, individual, loose cannon innit. No mould or box built that could ever contain me. It's the individual mindset that worries people like you. Baaaaa. |
