| The New Year's Eve Game
Plymouth Argyle v Crawley Town FC Man in the middle Mr Malone 21 games 79 YELLOWS 3 REDS.
He will be assisted by Richard Hulme and Simon Knapp.
The fourth official is Adrian Tranter Crawley Town FC view on the gameReds have a chance to make amends for their Boxing Day defeat at Leyton Orient when they travel to Home Park to face second-placed Plymouth Argyle on Saturday (3pm). Despite a stirring second half recovery at Brisbane Road which brought two goals, Dermot Drummy’s men fell to a 3-2 defeat in E10 having gone in at half time trailing 3-0 . Argyle sit in second place in the league table following a 3-3 draw with Wycombe Wanderers on Boxing Day – they only trail table toppers Doncaster Rovers on goal difference. While the Crawley manager has no new injury concerns, Joe McNerney is pushing for his first start since recovering from a knee injury The defender replaced Andre Blackman at half-time at Brisbane Road as Crawley fought back from 3-0 down, albeit to no avail. Matt Harrold (Achilles) is Crawley's only long-term absentee. The Opposition Derek Adams’ side actually lost their opening three matches in all competitions but soon found their feet. An unbeaten run stretching ten games across all competitions followed and a 2-1 defeat away to AFC Wimbledon in the Checkatrade Trophy at the start of October was the side’s only loss in 16 matches in all competitions during that impressive spell. Coming into the final game of 2016, Argyle are unbeaten in their last five matches – which included a 1-0 win over Newport County after extra time in the Second Round of the FA Cup. It was a victory that has set up a tie against Liverpool at Anfield for the club on Sunday week. The History The sides have met four times in the League. The Reds won the first contest back in 2011 at the Checkatrade Stadium 2-0 with a brace from striker Matt Tubbs. The other three meetings have seen two draws and a win for the Pilgrims. The two stalemates have been a 1-1 draw at Home Park in January 2012, when Pablo Mills scored, and another 1-1 draw at Crawley in February when Shamir Fenelon scored an equaliser for Reds. Roarie Deacon equalised late on at Home Park on our last visit in October 2015, but former Reds loanee Hiram Boateng grabbed a late winner for the hosts. Argyle NewsBoss Derek Adams has no fresh injury worries as they prepare to welcome Crawley to Home Park on Saturday. Defender Gary Sawyer is edging closer to a return to the first-team squad after recovering from a stomach injury which has kept him out for over four months. Jimmy Spencer has had a protective boot taken off this week as he continues his recovery from a broken ankle, while Ryan Donaldson remains sidelined with a broken jaw. Defensive pair Nauris Bulvitis and Ben Purrington are pushing for starts after recovering from hamstring injuries but Ryan Brunt (anterior cruciate ligament) and David Ijaha (groin) are unavailable. A uld AcquaintancesSonny Bradley will not treat this Saturday’s game no differently to any other, as he prepares to faces his old club Crawley Town.. A good turn out of fans again this Saturday, keep your stubs we might still be in the hat. It is POTD as well[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I am going for a 3 - nil win to Argyle Lets finnish the year at number one(Most of info taken from web)[/center] |

| Last match of the season? Wish it was, as we'd be getting out of this appalling division.
Whatever the score today we'll be completely outclassed and outplayed as usual.
Argo 0-2 Crawley |

| No way we'll get three points today. We're nowhere near good enough to beat these. Crawley should be in the lead at HT. |

| Made hard work of the win it seems, but 2 goals and a clean sheet can't be bad. Difficult one at Barnet coming up though. |
