| Stevenage News
Stevenage’s squad will look a little thinner this week as the loan deals of seven players have come to an end.
The short-term deals involving Armand Gnanduillet (Chesterfield), Lee Cox (Plymouth Argyle), Connor Ogilvie (Spurs), Michael Crowe (Ipswich Town), Callum McFadzean (Sheffield United), Jesse Joronen (Fulham) and Jamille Matt (Fleetwood) have all finished.
It is thought that Boro are interested in extending one or two of those deals, though there has been no news on whether anything has been agreed, while Grimsby Town have been linked with a move for striker Gnanduillet.
The short-term contract of Michael Tonge ends next week, meaning the former Sheffield United and Leeds United midfielder is available for the trip to Plymouth Argyle this weekend.
But they have signed Keith Keane who is returning to Stevenage for a second spell after agreeing a one-month loan deal from fellow League Two side Cambridge United. |

| Should win this, no, have to win this.
Home form is worrying we don't seem to be able to kill off teams. Away form is great, probably because teams come on to us more and we hit them on the break.
Wonder if we'll get a penalty?

| They look to be losing a lot of players there, still think we'll struggle to beat them though, we're pants at home. |

| A ReminderMORE than 2,000 junior league players, coaches and managers will enjoy a football league match-day experience with us on Saturday thanks to the UK’s fastest growing wealth planning business. Succession Group is the event sponsor for Saturday's match, to which lads, dads and coaches from the Devon Junior & Minor League have been invited. Succession Group’s Chief Executive Simon Chamberlain said: “All sports coaches will appreciate the importance of investing and developing a future pipeline of talent, and Succession Group is committed to providing young people with the experience and top-quality training to define skills and achieve the career they want, both on and off the pitch. “Succession Group is a new sponsor of Plymouth Argyle, and more than 2,000 Devon Junior & Minor League players and coaches will experience professional football – some for the first time – thanks to our support. “It will be an inspirational experience showcasing both teamwork and professionalism. James Greenacre, Argyle’s Commercial Operations Manager, said: “This is a significant commitment by Succession Group and recognises the value they place on professionalism and nurturing talent across the South West.” THE Nash & Co. Devon Junior & Minor League are very excited to launch a new partnership with Argyle. The league currently organises football for players aged 6-18 years old across Plymouth and surrounding areas. Each week, they have around 5,000 players playing across their leagues and development programmes. As part of the partnership, they hope to see more of their players becoming part of the Green Army and supporting their local team on a weekly basis. The DJM are very grateful to the Succession Group whose sponsorship has enable more than 2,000 players to attend today's game and watch the Greens take another step closer to League 1. | Stevenage snap up striker Aaron O'Connor ahead of visit to Plymouth Argyle
INJURY-HIT Stevenage have bolstered their attacking options ahead of their game against Plymouth Argyle at Home Park on Saturday.
Striker Aaron O'Connor has been signed on a one-month loan from National League title chasers Forest Green Rovers.
The deal has been completed in time for O'Connor to make his debut for Boro against the Pilgrims.
O'Connor was an eye-catching signing by Forest Green from League Two club Newport County in the summer.
He played for Rovers when they took a 3-0 lead against Argyle in a pre-season game at The New Lawn at the endf of July but were eventually beaten 5-3.
O'Connor has scored nine goals in 13 starts and seven substitute appearances for Forest Green.
However, the 32-year-old has not played in Rovers' last two games.
O'Connor has joined Stevenage on loan for an initial month with a view to it being extended until the end of the season. |

| Argyle match day updateARGYLE boss Derek Adams has said it is important that his side bounce back from defeat once again as the Pilgrims meet Stevenage at Home Park on Saturday. Argyle lost at home on Tuesday night to Northampton Town, but have the benefit of a home game, against Stevenage, just four days later, as they try to put the Cibblers defeat behind them. "I think it is always important that when you lose a game that you do bounce back," said Derek, whose side had won four in a row before Tuesday's defeat. "We have done that many times this season, where we have been on very good runs, then maybe lost - then gone on another very good run. That is just the nature of this league. "We have to put pressure on [Stevenage], there is no doubt about that. It is important that we play with the fluidity that we can do. We have played in games this season where it has been tough, like on Tuesday night; it was not a football match, it was a hard division 2 old style football match, and sometimes that is what is going to happen." Argyle have only lost six games out of 26, however one of those was against Stevenage at the Lamex Stadium. Derek expects that Saturday's fixture will be very different to the reverse fixture at the start of September, when Stevenage won 2-1. Derek said: "That game was a hard game because we were away to Wimbledon on the Tuesday night in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy. It was a heavy night; the pitch had a lot of water on it and the players had to work hard, and then we had to go back to London on the Saturday so that probably took it's toll. "This game is a wee bit different from that. Their team is probably different from the team that we played at the start of the season. They have got a number of loan players that have gone back to their parent clubs. Will they be part of the Stevenage team on Saturday? We will have to wait and see." In terms of team news, Derek has a full squad to pick from, except for Graham Carey, who is still out through injury. Reuben Reid played just over an hour on Tuesday, in his first game back from a hip injury, and Derek was impressed with what he saw. "We have kept him back a wee bit which has been good from our point of view," said Derek. "It has allowed him to get a few extra weeks training in. He has not played for a long time now and it is important that we manage him in that way. He played for 60 odd minutes the other night, it was good that he was back in. He looked fresh, he moved well, and hopefully we can see the benefits of that in the coming weeks. "We have just got Graham Carey [out]. He is the only one that is out injured; everyone else is fit. It has been seven weeks on Saturday since he last played, we are hopeful of having him back into full training next week so as soon as the physio passes him on we can try and speed up his time to get him back in the team." Seats sold so far for today game plus 2,000 DJM[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Argyle should win this encounter and I expect them to do so, 4-0.
It has been said in the past that Argyle are due to give one team a spanking, today may be a good day for that to happen.

| Dropping probably our best player over the last couple of months is a big call by Adams and if we fail to win questions will be asked. |
