| JANUARYIf the Christmas period was kind to the Pilgrims, then January certainly wasn't - with four difficult fixtures against top 7 opponents awaiting them, the first being the long trip to face Carlisle. Here is Ryan in action mid way through the first half. With playmakers Graham Carey (injured) and Craig Tanner (bench) unavailable, Bruntinho took the opportunity to show the world his hidden talents by confidently stepping up to a 25 yard free kick. With technique that could only be described as Cristiano Ronaldo-esque, Ryan dispatched the set piece with power and precision as the goalkeeper could only watch in shock and awe. In the final minutes, following a Craig Tanner driven counter attack, Ryan's low drilled cross for Greg Wylde was diverted into the net by an unfortunate Carlisle defender. The performance capped off a sublime run of form for the targetman; since Dagenham and Redbridge away six matches ago, Bruntinho had clocked up 4 goals, 3 assists and 3 man of the match awards.
