Ryan Brunt has signed a new contract.
RYAN Brunt has become the latest Pilgrim to commit his immediate future to Plymouth Argyle.
Ryan, who turned 23 at the end of last season, joins Graham Carey, Jake Jervis, Luke McCormick, Ben Purrington, Louis Rooney and Gary Sawyer in signing up for the 2016-17 Sky Bet League Two season.
The Birmingham-born forward joined the Pilgrims in January 2015, but it was not until almost a year later that he got his first run in the starting 11, and went on to score 10 goals for the Pilgrims last term, starting 19 games and making 20 appearances from the bench.
His run came to an abrupt conclusion when he suffered a knee injury that put an end to his season at Barnet in March. His recovery and rehabilitation, which is going well, means that he will miss the first part of the new campaign.
Ryan made four starts for Argyle in his first season, and 11 appearances off the bench, scoring three times in wins against Hartlepool and Cambridge United, as well as the play-off semi-final defeat at Wycombe.
Welcome back, Brunty.
