Argyle are number 34.
The third round draw is on Monday, BBC Two, at 19.00 hours.
I am hoping for a non-league side at home. Should easily progress to round two of the famous old cup.
It is about time we had some luck in this competition, get to round three or four and draw a big Premier side at home or away.
Earn some extra pennies in the process.

Oh ffs. I've never understood why the number has to have a fanfare. Far more exciting to have a ball drawn out after Man United v "Plymouth Argyle!" and a bit of mini-euphoria, than for the number of the bleddy ball first.
Petty I know, but hey ho.

Not petty at all, I hate knowing what number we are, spoils the surprise..............of being drawn away to Nuneaton Borough on a freezing Tuesday night.

Exeter face the lowest ranked team away at Didcot (they lost to the lowest ranked team last season in 1st round).

Oh well, Argyle have already beaten CUFC at home so it should be a good one.
I was hoping for FC United at home.

Next ball out after our tie. Would probably have been TV game and another 3-4K on gate, with downside of their scrotey fanbase being in town.

Indeed.
FC are the real United these days.
When they eventually get to the Football League, it will be interesting to see how far they can climb. Mind you, just had a look at the league they are currently in and they are in 13th position with 14 pts. Fylde are top with 29pts.
As for cup games, you can just see FC United of Manchester V Man utd being hyped to hell. More so than MK Dons V AFC Wimbledon.

From the Carlisle forum: Before the draw was ''Gateshead at either place, but it'll be Plymouth away, nailed on''
After the draw: ''Shit'' ''Plymouth away. You just could not make it up.....'' ''That is just brutal'' ''Absolutely gutted.'' ''Couldn't be much worse really, top of the league away where we've already been dicked 4-1 earlier on in the season.''

At least we can say we took part in the least likely to be televised draw in the history of the FA Cup ever.

And probably the least enthusiastic reaction to an away draw ever.
