PostSubject: Argyle misfits v Carlisle   Argyle misfits v Carlisle EmptyFri Mar 03, 2017 4:06 pm

After the last three games my confident in them is shattered Derek Adams might have forgiven his players after Tuesday night’s defeat by Notts County, and he expects them to bounce back for Saturday’s visit of Carlisle United. We need at least a draw, but cannot see us keeping a clean sheet or scoring to many goals. Not looking forward to this one.

A big crowd is coming and we know we always bottle it. Hoping for 1 - 1 draw and with 9,500

i have zero confidence we will go up this season now. too much of the previous 2 seasons are playing out again and we dont seem to be wise enough to change it a third time around.

Hope i am wrong as i would love to see another league title/promotion at Home Park again

Down in Plymouth tomorrow, but won't be going to the game, doing something else instead, a couple of seasons ago, that would have been unthinkable - guess that's what the continuing Brentmare does to one's enthusiasm.
Will be checking my phone regularly COYG.
BRENT OUT!

If there ever was a ''must win game'', then this game is it.

Argyle simply have to win this and move further ahead of Carlisle.

Now is the time for this team to stand tall and get on with it.

I am still hopeful that the side will scrape 2nd place.

Lose and its game over - I really think we wont make the play offs.

We are on skid row and other teams are in form..

This would fit the bill as the biggest game so far this season in terms of importance, agony or ecstacy tomorrow, squeaky bum time as old red nose would say.

I'm up at Home Park tomorrow morning at 6.30am, but not for the footy.
The game could go either way with two teams struggling to find form in a poor division, but surely Argyle can't lose again. Can they ?

Another terrible performance and another loss. Players simply don't have what it takes mentally or physically to cope with the run-in.

Comfortable for Carlisle

The referee For todays game

MARK HEYWOOD will be the referee for Plymouth Argyle's top-of-the-table clash against Carlisle United at Home Park on Saturday.

Heywood, from Cheshire, has shown 131 yellow cards and sent-off five players in 28 games this season.

One of those matches was Argyle's 2-1 win against Notts County at Meadow Lane in August.

Seven yellow cards were issued by Heywood in that game, with five of them going to Pilgrims' players.

Kelvin Mellor was sent-off by Mark Heywood when Argyle lost away to Accrington last March

Heywood took charge of Argyle once last season, when they lost 2-1 away to Accrington Stanley in League Two in March 2016.

The Pilgrims were leading late on when right-back Kelvin Mellor conceded a penalty and was sent-off by Heywood.

Billy Kee scored from the resulting spot kick and Accrington then grabbed another goal deep into stoppage time.

McCormick
Threkeld, Sokolik, Bradley,Sawyer
Carey, Fox, Sarcevic,
Jervis, Taylor, Kennedy

Subs: Dorel, Songo, Donaldson, Blisset, Tanner, Spencer, Slew

Not much defensive cover on the bench. Really going to get twitchy if we lose this one. Carlisle also struggling for form at the moment. A win and we stay clear of the playoffs, a defeat and we're dragged ever closer to dropping out.

Slew ought to be restored to the starting line-up really, hopefully Fox will be available.

Bearing in mind recent home form, can't see anything other than defeat for the Gargoyles this afternoon
