Argyle run down on Carlisle season
CARLISLE currently sit five off the bottom in Sky Bet League Two as they make the long journey down for this weekend’s clash at Home Park. The Cumbrians opened their campaign with a 2-1 success at home to Crawley, thanks to goals from Harry McKirdy and Stefan Scougall, following this with a battling display at Swindon that saw them unluckily go down to a 3-2 defeat. The positive early momentum continued with an excellent 3-0 victory at Championship Barnsley in the Carabao, with McKirdy, Jack Bridge and Nathan Thomas scoring the goals on a memorable night. It was from there that the season hit the buffers slightly, as Carlisle suffered successive 2-0 defeats to Mansfield and Cheltenham. Olufela Olomola and Scougall were on target in a 2-2 home draw with Salford but they went down 2-1 at Rochdale in the Carabao Cup. Ryan Loft scored the only goal in an encouraging win at Scunthorpe to complete August but this was followed by a 3-1 home loss to Exeter. Fairly decent form on the road continued, however, as McKirdy struck twice and Thomas also scored in a 3-2 triumph at Stevenage. A 0-0 draw with Forest Green was another respectable result but they went down 3-1 at Bradford, and also lost to Wolves Under-21s in the Leasing.com Trophy. Olomola scored the winner at home to Oldham in the league at the end of September but consistency has been the major problem, as this was followed by defeats to Newport and Crewe. The Cumbrians do come to Argyle feeling a little better about the word after a fine performance in midweek saw goals from Loft and Canice Carroll earn them a 2-1 win over Blackpool in the Trophy.
Nathan Thomas returned from illness in the second half with an explosive appearance which saw him twice go close to bulging the back of the net. “Nathan really looked up for it and that was the type of reaction I wanted from him,” he said. “I really like Nathan as a boy and he’s someone who is maturing all the time. “We had a good conversation the other day and we’re really comfortable with where we are. It was important for him that he came on and gave the reaction he did. “The chance where he hit the post is absolutely vintage Nathan Thomas. He gets in that position and opens up, and it was there for him. He was unfortunate to see it come back off the post, but that sort of chance is typical of what he can do. “He can be his own worst enemy at times but I really like the boy, and I have a really good relationship with him, which I want to continue. I was really pleased with the way he went about things
Argyle sick note
Byron Moore available; Telford is coming back from St Georges Park today.
Danny Mayor suspended; Ryan Taylor and Conor Grant injured.Carlisle run down on ArgylePlymouth are unbeaten through the month of October as they hold steady just below the play-off places. Looking to bounce back to League One at the first attempt they've had a good start to the campaign, but will be looking to turn home draws into wins as the season starts to gather pace. Having kicked things off with two successes at Home Park from their first three league games, you have to look back to 24 August [Walsall, 3-0] to find the last time they won on their own patch. That shouldn't lead to a feeling of complacency though as they have lost just two games on their own patch. There's been a fair spread of goals throughout the side, with Callum McFadzean and Ryan Taylor leading the way with three each, and there's two-a-piece from Dominic Telford, Antoni Sarcevic, Joel Grant, Joe Edwards and Will Aimson to add another 10 to the tally. Plenty of threats, and certain to be another testing game. Argyle to win 3 - 1 |

| If we play Baxter and Cooper - we'll piss it. If not. I fear a draw at best - again! |

| Boom! As I predicted even down to goal scorers. City thumped 4 0 and us up to eighth, good day as progressive football starts to get results. |

Why Bungo Back is still employed by the club is a mystery, what other business tries to piss off so many of its clients? Get rid Si, the community have had enough. |

| Listened to the game on Radio Devon, a crap match full of mistakes but argo ground out the three points, needs to be a massive improvement before hp is turned into a fortress. Good to see old uncle Billy got a ten minute run out, our twelve signing of the season apparently has a massive arse so a bit of gentle excersise will do him good. |

I think you mean this it was overkill by stewards who all ran away once the whistle went. I have a theory why they were checking tickets but will wait posting it. | A Good win much needed especially at home. Not pretty to watch imo but 3 points and a clean sheet is what matters at the moment the quality of the wins will improve in time.
Sarcevic was very good today. |
