| Now that the opportunist sell out has left his 100% dispensation job employed by the mail, where he colluded with others to surrender without giving the workers a chance to vote on it, I see the posties are getting their act together to stop liberties taken by their new owners. Below, West Park on strike yesterday due to the first port of call being agency workers rather than internally sourced. Meanwhile Webb is praised by Ridsdale who was barred from holding directorships, and who oversaw the disgusting treatment of Argyle employees. Wadda guy. Still scoffing at the trough. Union reps always on 'union duties'. Rarely do the day job |

| Total bollocks Elias! Regional reps might be but the local shop stewards / reps do a lot of their work in their own time. |

| Calm down Richard, you might be over reacting, you might not be. I was a union local shop steward too when unions meant far more than they do in Webb's time, although us white collar shop stewards were actually called union reps. , and nearly all our work was in our own time, maybe a couple of hours a week at most allowable. But this character in question had, for the tenth time, a 100% dispensation to work on union matters, that was the deal. If Elias wants to make a point about union reps "in general" then I would suggest he's rather wide of the mark, and pootling down the normal "anti union" parade. Just because self serving opportunists like the gobby Webb give socialism and trade unionism a bad name when push comes to shove, it doesn't mean he should use Webb as a chance to "union bash". You union bashing Elias ? Probably. But then, is that such a bad thing ? For what seems decades now, unions have shrunk back into their shell. Shame on many of them for colluding. They need to be reminded to be what they are supposed to be. |

In MY experience your view is complete bollocks. Got to agree with that, I've known the rail equivalent of a local Union rep and never seen him do his day job - ever |

| ASLEF have full-time (elected) officers. They still have to drive trains every couple of weeks so as to keep up route knowledge. |

| So it's been a week since the pictures of Webb and Wrathall have been posted on here. I am surprised that Webb is hiding behind threats to posters employers, rather than coming on here and debating the issue.
Funny how he calls us keyboard warriors and cowards yet he is too Gutless to come on here himself. |
