| A bit unfair I think. Liverpool's failure was their signings, which Rodgers wasn't responsible for. |

| Jamie Carragher was good value with his views on it all. "Liverpool have become Tottenham, they think they're a big club, but the real big clubs aren't at all worried about them".
He's bang on there. Even Souness said that Liverpools policy of trying to sign up the best of the available youth talent, to sell them on at a profit had only succeeded in turning Liverpool into a selling club. |

Word is that Steve Evans has been seen eating in a motorway service area heading west on the M62. In fact he's been seen eating in all the westbound M62 service areas. |

Rodgers was crying as he resigned that he had his 4 best players pulled from under him. You have to chortle at that. He was given every penny to reinvest, and then some. £291m to be exact. I can't think of many players, Sturridge and Coutinho perhaps excepted (Sturridge undoubtedly good but injured constantly) that have been remotely successful. Have a look at his signings back to back here, and it is shocking. The sums, the lack of pedigree, the lack of impact at Anfield - everything. http://www.lfchistory.net/Transfers/ByManager/25-1. A real jaw droppingly poor manager with money. |

Who was responsible for that then? They have a transfer committee. His opinion doesn't hold much sway in terms of player ins and outs. |

They have a transfer committee. His opinion doesn't hold much sway in terms of player ins and outs. It doesn't now! It baffles me how modern day managers put up with that shit, if I couldn't choose the players I wanted I wouldn't do the job, farcical. |

| I can understand others having an input into the signing of players, but I find it hard to believe the manager doesn't have much influence in the signing of a club's players. |

He was responsible for coaching them though, wasn't he? I really don't believe he had no input to signings. |
