Strange business all round. If you are going to appoint somebody like him, meaning in his first job, you have to allow him to grow into it. Nobody is likely to hit the ground running and be a huge success from the off, are they?
On the other hand last season they were a play-off contender and Sheringham wouldn't have been a cheap appointment so they'd've been expecting improvement instead of which they are almost a relegation contender.
