| A fair few years since I lived in Bath. The chairman of Bath city was an electrician in those days. Had a couple of good Twerton days with him. Most pubs have been gastroised in Bath due to the town's demographic. Not a bad thing if you like food. The Bell in Walcott st was always my favourite haunt, a music pub with a bit of attitude. I see they have some music tonight if you're partying afterward. Hillfolk Noir... Now that sounds interesting, at least on a par with the ravishing footy. Pubs on the Twerton side of the river and on the main st are a bit mehhh. A bit Plymouth in fact. |

| The Raven advertises itself as a gastropub, but is a decent boozer. Don't remember it being terribly expensive either, but I had been drinking steadily for most of the day by then. Good beers, and a healthy smattering of attractive women - can't really complain.
Oh, and hello everyone. |

They won't come unless it's coca cola all round and a sleepover. |

Oh, and hello everyone. Welcome Mike - been to Raven about 3 times when attending Bath Rubgy. They do a couple of own brews which were bloody good but I seem to remember not on the cheap side and their homemade pies are a proper meal in themselves. In general Bath is expensive for everything I think but all depends what you've been used to. Cheers!! |
