| Plymouth needs an airport of somekind not an international one of course but a taxi one at least to give it links to the main cities again. the city needs better transportation routes in and out otherwise its just going to get worse and people will continue to avoid it. |

- Chris.....That's too long isn't it.....an hour on the road before you start the main part of your journey......thinking small time.....but of course PAFC are good at that....lets hope they think big time today when hopefully we will be told the new managers name.
Even Bournemouth have Hurn Airport down the road.....and where I live Biggin Hill is trying to push the boundaries with Bromley Councll.....you've got to have a local Airport.....Plymouth has a quarter of a million inhabitants.....an hour up the road is not commercially viable for local industry or quick conections to the rest of the world. Are you suggesting Argyle open up their own airport? I'm not sure its the responsibility of a city's football club to run their national transport hub, but do take the point that more could be done to help players on long journeys. Although I believe the club do stop overnight for most trips, and for the Hartlepool & Carlisle trips didn't they stop over for two nights training at Preston the day before? Not that it helped on the day, but everything was made fairly comfortable for the players those days. Plus the coach, from what I've seen, is pretty nice. Swanky kitchen, plush seats and even TVs with PS4s/Xboxs. Flying from Exeter for those Northern jaunts wouldn't be a bad idea though. |

| apparentlly now you can request anyone to join the betting list for the new manager. Just seen a few tweets to skybet asking for Paul Ince and Andy Knhil (sic) and they obliged.

Dane Bunney 66/1. That's not his odds, that's the result of his last game in charge of Ottery |

That's not his odds, that's the result of his last game in charge of Ottery That's Dane's ratio of Man U games he's attended, compared to Argo. feckin plastic. Anyway - no to the airport- it's a non-event. And who's our new gaffer? |

| Exeter airport is 45 mins away. Newquay airport is 50 mins away. We don't need an airport. Flying is sooooo yesterday.
Electronic information is sent in milliseconds. Naming the boss will be so quick and easy. |

Electronic information is sent in milliseconds. Naming the boss will be so quick and easy. Google suggests that getting to Exeter Airport using train and bus from Plymouth takes 2 hrs 13 mins.......I can get to Paris quicker than that from NW Kent...... PAFC might want to introduce there new manager in person....not by suggesting that he is only milliseconds away. |

| Got to love twitter. 3 different people have popped up on my timeline swearing to god that the following have been escorted inside Home Park and due to be named Manager. Steve Lomas, Gary Johnson and Nathan Jones...
These were posted with 2 minutes of each other roughly lol |

Suggesting our new manager is milliseconds away? WTF are you on about. Naming the boss to numerous media outlets electronically is what I'm alluding to, FFS. God you're so old. Anyway, I digress. Nathan Jones will be announce at 16:30 this afternoon as the new Argo boss to various media outlets, electronically, which will take milliseconds - forshore. |

Desperation really by Brent giving him the full time job so soon....a case of throwing him to the lions....and for far too long for everyones good......we did rubbish him week by week, as he failed to dig Argyle out of the pit that administration had buried us in.....the man was likeable...his inexperience wasn't......and I can still remember him being interviewed about the match analysis that day....and finishing off by mentioning that he had just been sacked.....how can any club put a sacked manager in that position....unless he insisted on doing it.
Better times have arrived for him and as a person I have respect for him having come through that cauldron of a learning curve. The Peter Reid to Carl Fletcher transition was overseen by Peter Ridsdale. Sheridan was James Brent's first appointment. |

These were posted with 2 minutes of each other roughly lol Yup, tells you all you need to know about it's reliability. When the new manager is announced someone will undoubtedly trawl back and claim proof of some 'scoop' they tw@tted previously, but if ever there was a living, breathing example of the 'infinite number of monkeys with typewritters', it's that waste of space. |

I agree that Ridsdale gave Fletcher the temporary managers job Sept 2011.....Akkeron took over in late Oct 2011 and Fletcher was made full time soon after....I assume that would of been Brent's doing. |
