As this drags on, other League Two clubs make headway in the transfer market.

At this rate we will be scrapping the bottom of the barrel for new signings and if the 2015-16 season turns out to be utter crap, then i will blame James Brent.

It's the Brent way - thought you realised that. raised eyebrow

Bloody typical. We know Brent is not a football man and runs the club in a different manner.

If Sheridan decides to leave, how long will it take Brent to hire a new manager ?.

Argyle can't be faffing about for weeks on end trying to secure the right man. I know it is only May 27th, but that can quickly turn into June 27th and see Argyle still scratching around.

My God, i must have a drink of tea and a sit down for a moment.

Even the great Danny Salman, who I find irritating and full of sheite, has filled his column with garbage - as normal. If I was writing an article about anything I would damn well make sure I knew the subject.

Salman says:But, looking back on it, I’m sure that whatever deadline the Football League imposes on clubs, it wouldn’t have been immediately after the play-off semi-final second leg – there was still all the play-off finals to go at that point.
So I think the club had time to make sure that they had an answer from Sheridan first.

Well Mr Salman why didn't you spend the 20 seconds I took to find out the rules which are:

64.2 Any Club wishing to reengage a Contract Player whose contract is due to expire on 30 June must, save as mentioned in Regulations 64.2.1 to 64.2.4 below, notify him in writing by the third Saturday in May (16th May) in the final year of his contract whether or not they offer him terms of reengagement specifying (where applicable) such terms.  Notification of the terms offered may only be deferred:
64.2.4 in the event of a Club still being involved on or after the third Saturday in May (our last game was Thursday, May 14, 2015 so we were not involved on / after 16th May) in a competition arranged under the auspices of The League.  In these circumstances Players must be notified of the terms offered within four days of the Club's last such match.

So Argyle had 2 days to announce the retained list.

Mr Salman please remember the 6 P's (Poor prep produces pith poor performance)

Players being signed here there and everywhere by our rivals and our manager is having some kind of existential crisis.

I can see the apparent problem and yes it would be a lot more comfortable to have some stability whether its JS, Freathy or Nigel Farrage in the chair but of all the names I see there are none that stand out. I think JS is either in Madrid chasing Messi and Ronaldo, in Bovvy chasing Graiser or on the beach in Dubai. Do you think he's been in the water yet? confused

Can we add the word 'imminent' and all its derivatives to the swear-checker?

This pre season has a bad feel about it. Sheridan staying because he can't find a better employer would really cap it all off.

Let's go and find a manager who is HUNGRY to BE at Plymouth Argyle, impress the fans and ACHIEVE!

NOT a homesick half arsed manager whose main ambition in life is to be walking his dogs on the Yorkshire moors.

Stop dawdling and sort this situation Brent! Stop waiting for a club to come and get him because it ain't happening.

Sheff Utd are after Phil Parkinson (Bradford) so that'll happen soon. JS was probably creaming down the M5 to see JB and heard this on the radio. He then pulled over and used 118118 to find the number of Bradford's Chairman.

Why do a little thing like listen to a fan who goes to a lot of home and away games? Especially when you can not go to games, watch them on TV where possible and lecture those who attended on the crap atmosphere and the impeccable manners and credentials of the superb manager :-)

Maybe Shez has told Jimmy of his decision to go, but Sepp Brentter wants to appoint a cheap manager in August who will be forced to sign  whoever is available after Accy Stan, Daggers and our other relegation rivals have had first pick!

Shezza did a great job working for a totaly amateur outfit like Sepps Argyle, History will prove that finishing seventh was the High point of Brentters reign.

Sky Sports saying he has left for family reasons.

So the mafia have their way. The bigots and wannabees on the farm will be dancing in the streets tonight.

Thanks for your efforts at one of the most mismanaged clubs you will probably ever have the misfortune to be associated with.
