He was indeed, looked like he may have been getting people to sign something-my mate suggested a Brent out petition but not very likely.

Argyle looked a bit unsettled at the start today, not surprising when the two main centre backs are out of action and Daggers had one or two early chances and efforts, notably a superb piece of technique from Cureton [I think] when he cushioned a volley just wide from a high long ball. The match turned just before half time when a truly superb reverse ball from Bobby Reid set Lewis free on the left and his hard driven low cross was converted by Reuben, excellent goal. Argyle looked a different team thereafter and some terrific interplay between the two Reid's left Bobby to find an empty net for what effectively was the clincher. Daggers can feel aggrieved that they conceded a soft penalty to wrap things up, there was a much clearer one not given afterwards when Mellor was upended in the box-the ref and officials were shocking all afternoon for both sides to be fair. MOM for me was Lee Cox, best performance since his return IMHO. Norburn was good too and young Bentley got over a rather nervous start to acquit himself well after Hartley was injured in the warm up. Enjoyable and productive afternoon in the end.

Dagenham were useless but that's not to take away from how good we were in the second half. Winning that convincingly with a team far from full-strength was encouraging, too. Terrible ref.

SUBSTITUTES:

McCormick - 6- Had very very little to do.

O'Connor - 7 - Dodgy to start with, especially that weird chest back to the keeper thing. Really improved afterwards though, and was mostly very good. I'd love us to sign him permanently.
McHugh - 8 - Very good on his return from injury - he bailed out our other two centre-backs for errors near the start, and was generally good after that.
Bentley - 6 - Can't have been easy for him to come out and make his debut at such short notice, but he did pretty well, improving as the game went on.

Mellor - 6 - Not bad but he'll play better. Good defensively but not at his best going forward except for the penalty we should have been awarded.
Norburn - 7 - Has some brilliant passes in his locker, and has improved his off-the-ball work too. Drifts in and out of games, and still can be a bit static, however. Mostly good, especially in the second half.
Bobby Reid - 8 - Not at his best in the first half until the brilliant pass in the lead-up to the first goal. In the second half he was a creative force with also the spirit to battle and do the dirty work.
Cox - 9 (MotM) - Class act. We're very lucky to have him and we're a lot worse without him.
Kellett - 8 - Dangerous going forward as always, and he's improved his defensive ability MASSIVELY over the last couple of games. Resembles a player far too good for this league at the moment.

Reid - 8 - Good apart from his goals, and his goals were good. Nice how he decided not to fart around with his penalty this time.
Alessandra - 7 - Real nuisance, did well for the first goal and 'good positive play'  Wink to win the penalty for the third. How many assists does he have now?

SUBSTITUTES:
Morgan - 5 - Pesky.

Banton - 5 - Won a lot of free kicks, but his attacking positioning was poor.

Harvey - 6 - Best of the subs, good linking.

I thought the first half was fairly even with us edging the last 15-20 before half time. Second half we strolled it IMO, looking good at the moment, enjoying the ride, got my Oxford tickets before yesterdays game, exciting innit jocolor

A couple of real let's offs at the start of the game but after that seemed pretty well one way traffic, D&r look like us last season, should have had a couple more goals.
