Nelson will not befit for this match, but should befit for the Newport Boxing day match.

Quote

: Boost for Plymouth Argyle over injury to captain Curtis Nelson

PLYMOUTH Argyle have received a pre-Christmas boost over the arm injury to captain Curtis Nelson.

Nelson will be ruled out of the League Two game against Dagenham and Redbridge at Home Park on Saturday

But Pilgrims’ boss John Sheridan believes the 21-year-old could be fit for the Boxing Day clash away to Newport County.

Dagenham last five: DLLWWL. Played 10 away games: won 3, drawn 3 and lost 4. Their defence is spectacularly leaky - only Carlisle and Hartlepool have conceded more, but they have the best goalscoring record in the bottom third.

Argyle 3-1 Dag & Red.

Ref For Argyle v Dagenham

The referee for Argyle's League Two game against Dagenham and Redbridge at Home Park on Saturday is Carl Berry.

The Surrey-based official, who is a regular in the Championship, was last in charge of the Greens earlier this season when Swindon were defeated 3-2 at Home Park in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

Berry will be assisted on Saturday by Colin Lymer and Adrian Tranter while the fourth official is Ron Ganfield

This is a winnable game but Knowing Argyle and winnable games this will either be a loss or a draw. Nothing is every that straight forward.

Understandable really its last home game before christmas and alot of folk are home for the occassion and there is an offer on. This would be a good time for the team to play and win well to try and convince the people coming to this game on the offer to come again.

Not much doing yet, although Jamie Cureton nearly chipped McCormick. Cox missed a good chance earlier.

Set pieces are dismal today. Everything is either going straight at their keeper or out of play.
