Topically, I shall be donning some Wellies (or possibly waders) today, in search of Flounder up the Kingsbridge estuary, or possibly the Teign.

Any good? I was wondering about dragging the boat up to the Teign one day, haven't fished it in years.

Nope. I missed a proper good bite, so my mate told me, whilst having a piss. There were a few bass jumping in the river too, which made blanking all the more annoying. I'll give it another go if we get a cold dry spell in the next month or so.

My mates coming down end of the week and we were going to hit the Tamar for Codling but the rivers are as high as fook, needs to dry up for a week for any of the rivers to fish well.

PS Mr Brent the new theater (this is where your grant money went) is moveing on at a pace.

It's horrible outside, 2degrees and sleet and hail with a bit of snow now and then. Just got home from town and the boy has just asked for a lift into town. Sulk

I went to work this morning with the car in economy mode.
It would only let me use 3rd and 4th gears.

I am really looking forward to the drive home tonight!

Back home safe.

I found 1st and 2nd gear 3 times tonight but 4th has now gone walkabouts. Not bad for a 16 mile journey!

As for 5th that went MIA a week ago. Mad

A rover 75, how common!

I have a Daewoo Matiz called 'Matty' (wife's name for 'IT' whereas I have called it a lot of things in the last few days and not once 'Matty') Very Happy

I do find that when I see a Chevvy Matiz I shout out 'Plastic MK Don!'

It really pisses the family off. I don't know why! Very Happy

Car was in super economy mode today to and from work. Just 3rd gear.

Still didn't call it 'Matty'!

We have had it from new (2000) and it has been very good. Passed every MOT except one because of a headlight lamp had blown. Now just passed 98K miles and starting to cost money. Car Doctor says it is 'tired'. I say its fecked! Very Happy

Always exceptions, but as a general rule of thumb you lessen your chance of car problems with either German or Japanese engineering.

Then the obvious one of course - buy a French car, and you deserve all that comes your way.
