Much too verbose Chris. Only the final seven words are necessary to convey your proposition. |

Nothing automatic about it. 1.....Fix hose to hot tap and fill up washing tub with hot water....turn on....washing tub rotates with washing. 2.....With wooden tongs transfer washing to spin tub and turn on, another hose pumped the water into sink. 3.....When all washing done, pump washing water into sink. A labour intensive process.....but it beat the scrubbing brush and washing board....(later used for skiffle band). |

| Mine, a Dutch model:- make water hot on fire, pour in, fix hose pipe (cold) wait ages, yank stuff out (by this time cold, no need for tongs), throw in spinner thingy (till it broke) then hang out. I'm too young (sorry) to remember proper uk twin tubs, but even they and my old Dutch model is so much easier than handwashing everything on a concrete wash area/ own concrete tank next to a stream. I hope you don't see this as a simile to the 'four yorkshirmen sketch'. |

| 8 out-of-date mini M&S pork pies cut into quarters and thrown on the garden for the birds today.
Lasted about 3 minutes (Jackdaws, Rooks and Herring Gulls scoffed the lot). |
