How odd.......for the first time ever.....the "parental control " setting refused to allow me entry to this website......had to ask it nicely to give me permission ?

About to phone my mate in Poole, who happens to be  Portsmouth supporter Sulk  then I am onto DHSB where my grandson is doing football training with Argyle in the Community. Finish the morning by providing lunch for the family at home.

I quite like Ikea. Quirky, innovative and pretty cheap. Mate of mine has just bought a house. He took a van up there and did a literal one-stop-shop for pretty much every household essential.

At the other end of the innovative scale, I came back up through Cornwall earlier and stopped off at Trago to see if they had a particular paint. They didn't. It's like a timewarp that place, pay for your goods at a till... and then take it all out of the bag at the door so the security bloke can sign your receipt to say you haven't nicked anything. I mean ffs, it's not 1978 still is it?

So I was driving back from there and decided to don the stab vest and see if they had the paint i wanted in that big B & M discount store in Saltash. What a place that is. I'm confident there would have been tours of Afghanistan that were less traumatic than having to negotiate your way around that place. Proper scary.

They didn't have the paint either. Crying or Very sad

Ikea is 5hit. Hate the place. When you have one 10 minutes drive away you can comment until then you'll think Ikea is okay but you're wrong. Very wrong.

Hate's a bit of a strong word for a Home furnishing store old boy.

I prefer to save the 'hate' word for things that really deserve it - like cauliflower cheese, Mark Lawrenson, or Burnley....

Ikea...could never be as bad as MFI used to be......you could see customers in the car park opening their purchases.....and checking if it was all there.....and not already damaged.
