Basically, this has been the game from the outset. The council were already onside and the reluctant one gets a free ride in return for giving the devious wannabes the run of Home Park.
They don't care if the club is boxed in, as long as they get to supposedly be someone at the Theatre of Schemes.
A nice little stadium for nice little minds........... and bragging rights over Accrington, Burton and Sid James.

Village. Absolutely village.

Webb out - how the feck did he ever get in? (ok, I do know before you all say) Mr Brent - remove Webb and Nool et all because that stinks more than anything else you have done/not done).

The reluctant one knows that if he were to alienate his Windsor Boys, his Aviva shield would start to crumble .

That may have been the case 3 years ago but if he did it now whether kicked off or not wouldnt matter has they dont have the backing of the fans anymore.

You can't be serious. brent needs the bucket rattling bunch online, in their tents and under their gazebos.

If the local yeomanry were to start to 'turn', it would be like a deck of cards. They love the spotlight but even they would crack should he be daft enough to upset any of the chiefs.
It won't happen though. They all have too much to lose.

nool and plebb and the puppets that helped them are forever tarred with brent now so if he falls they will too and hard! they know it as does brent. Even if plebb along nool and the gang were to wise up today towards brent and started speaking out etc no one sane would ever trust them again to mount their steeds and join the dogs of war and fight under their banner.

I think you underestimate them. Being someone at Argyle is their whole life and they're always there, like barnacles on Salty's boat !

IJN does have some redeeming qualities, and he has friends who will always be loyal to him. Webb on the other hand has absolutely no one (well maybe two), who will back him up. Pretty much everyone who has had dealings with him now despises the bloke. His fall from grace has been pretty spectacular. What a shame.

You might have to give a bit more detail there, Dick - stuffed if I can think of any.

Spot on about Webb, though.

The club needs to take that honorary president title off him asap.

If you just talk about football, Ian can be good company. Just don't mention the internet.

There are a lot of people who have questioned whether Webb is a genuine fan, including people at HP. If IJN is an Argyle obsessive, Webb is an Argyle opportunist. I have heard people suggest that Webb will stand down as Argyle president when its no longer beneficial for him. He ditched the AFT, the Royal Mail, and his wife when they no longer suited him. Maybe he will kick Argyle to the curb next.

If you only talked to Adolf Hitler about being a watercolourist no doubt he was good company too. Just don't mention the nazis, the holocaust or the war.

Apart from the murder, kidnapping and sex crimes that Fred West was a real good laugh.

I know Lance Armstrong won everything due to being a drug cheat but he was ace with the one liners.

We now realise that Jimmy Savile was a completely unhinged and despicable paedo pervert but he wasn't all bad and let's not over-look all that money he raised running marathons for charity.

Hansie Cronje nearly destroyed international test cricket by being a bookies' stooge but he always claimed to ask himself "what would Jesus do?" before making any serious decision.

A bit harsh to compare IJN to Lance Armstrong.

All joking aside...

Using Hitler and Jimmy Saville, Bin Laden etc to illustrate a point about Nool is disgusting.

..and SFD actually has the temerity to complain about abuse.

Typical.
