| So Bristol Rovers have gone down with Torquay. Not good for us, two westcountry sides biting the dust in the same season will make it harder than ever to attract players. Will also reduce the number of local derbies we can have.
Getting out of this league next season starting to look like a necessity. |

| Two westcountry clubs out of the FL, that's not good at all as far as football in the westcountry is concerned. I'm sorry to see them both leaving. |

| Exeter will certainly miss these derbies income wise. Cant sack Tis either after this impressive finish to the season. |

| Gutted for both the Turks and the Gas. I think it may be a big struggle for the Turks to get back in the league. I hope I am wrong.

| Didn't want. To see either of them out of the league, I thought it was going to be Wycombe, I still did at half time, all Gas needed was one goal against Mansfield, bummer. |

| Bad news for Argyle. I wonder what the extra cost of getting to Luton or even Gateshead - plus overnights (FFS) is over a stroll down the road to Torquay or Bristol? And then there's Tranmere & Carlisle! We'll probably have to do a whip around. |

| I have just had a look at their forums, some really cheesed off people on them too.
A GasHead provided a link to the Mail website and the Mail have a few photos and a report on the trouble aspect of the match.. |

| Those two relegated teams have probably cost the club £75,000 as both come down in numbers and both games attract the occassional Argyle attendee. It's a shame for Rovers - it really must be heartbreaking. |

| This is why you have to inset to get out of this league, I think that we were only nine points off the relegation places yet we were only two places off playoffs! Get an injury to Reid and Hourihane in January/ Feruary and that could well have been us. The way that is board has approached league 2 is FOOKIN laughable. The skrill is like being cast out into the desert in olden times. |

| I thought our consensus choice was Mick Hill. I wanted him here.
Good to see knob heads LOLing in this thread. Not proper football fans. |

| Oh FFS Hairy what's a proper football fan? There are numerous reasons why fans don't like clubs, I hate City (Brizzle) cos I've had bad experiences with their fans, same for Cardiff, I know some decent gas heads hence I like the club, simples. |

Rovers actually shifted Ward upstairs into the Director of Football role with 8 games to go and replaced him with some chap called Clarke, who was previously manager at Salisbury i think. Not a good move by the look of it,reminds me a bit of when Argyle sacked Waiters with 4 games to go,replaced him with Kelly and got relegated after picking up one point from those games.Bad news for westcountry football,a club like Rovers should never be in the Conference-their history has been uncannily similar to ours over the years, hope they can bounce back quickly but it won't be easy,as many long established former league clubs have found in recent years. |

| I have just seen that, missed it at the time with Val being ill and all that. Not a good move on their part but then again you would have thought a club of that size would have been pretty near safe with 8 games left.
Given the way they picked up after his appointment last year, I would have thought they would have been play off candidates at least. Still they will soon have a lovely new stadium for their return to the league in 12 months! |

| If Rovers can pull off a half decent start to the season they can turn that anger into a stubborn determination to get back in the FL and then couple that with a new stadium, they will be straight back up, it's a funny old game.
Rovers are the other half's family club so while I will be constantly reminding them about it I do feel a hint sorry for them. Rovers have followed pretty much the same path as us throughout my life except they were also unlucky enough to have their big and traditional stadium burnt to the ground, they even had to share Bath City's ground at one stage. And we think we have had it tough!

| With Rovers being in The Skrill it will deflate other ex league clubs aspirations of promotion incl Torquay, with one automatic it looks a big task for anyone to get out. |
