| In fairness to Mr Pitbull,it was a pretty watchable game today but when all's said and done,Scunthorpe had the belief to go out and win the game, which ultimately sorts out the also rans from the winners.Fine margins though-still can't work out how Alessandra's shot hit the post and didn't go in when the score was 0-0 but out it stayed and was the pivotal moment of the match IMHO.Thought Argyle's crossing was a trifle disappointing at times, when the excellent Hourihane did drive a low ball in,people who should have been on the end of it were nowhere to be seen.I didn't agree with the assessment that substitutions should have been made earlier,Argyle were on top in the period before Scunthorpe scored and i certainly didn't see any evidence that the players were tiring.Disappointing but still not totally disastrous, could definitely do with a win on Tuesday night though. |

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] You gotta larf. The attendence level for any club has always been and will always be directly proportional to expectation levels - which is dependentent on the league it's in and the prospects it holds within that league - or a cup run. The dimwitted villagers may think one promoter, or indeed self-promoter, off the field can motivate, but they can't. It's all a bit embarrassing really. |

- I give up ---- own goal bloody cole
You obviously weren't there or you would NEVER have posted that. It was an obvious own goal and there was diddly squat poor old Cole could have done about it. Not everything is always somebody's fault. Today's game did not deserve to be in the 4th Division. Both teams played good, intelligent football and if you were a neutral with an eye for the game you would have seen a decent game. Scunny were excellent and deserved their win but we were not poor at all. They are now 20 games unbeaten and you could see why. I'd say 2 points from the Scunny/Chesterfield two-header would have been OK. Beat them on Tuesday and we're doing OK. |

| You are right I wasn't there and perhaps it was a bit unfair to blame Cole, it was out of frustration that Argyle were beaten at home in this dogshit league |

| That's all understandable and when you see the goal you'll understand how harsh it was on Cole.
It is a dogshit league.
But Scunny were not a dogshit team. And neither were we despite the result. |

| It was a very entertaining game (I enjoyed two bags off smokey bacon crisps and a Wagon Wheel). Although the result points towards Argyle being beaten with ease, that wasn't the case. It was very close. Reid started well and held the ball up, looked to turn his marker and was proving a real handful for their defenders. Hourihane had a great first twenty minutes and could have scored. Allesandra went narowly wide. Scunthorpe were good value too and had a succession of corners. 0-0 was fair. Allesandra had a storming second half but Argyle tired as Scunthorpe kept the ball and we reverted to counter attacking. They scored. That was it. Allesandra hit the woodwork twice in the second half but they scored two scrappy goals - the second wasn't really Cole's fault. Other results weren't unkind. 8,000 was a decent crowd and the atmosphere was good. I like smokey bacon crisps. |

| Both teams played very well and it's as good of a football match as you'll see in League Two. One side took two of their chances and the other didn't. Fine margins. Never a 2-0 game over the balance of play. Was very even and I'd possibly even say we edged it. Ah well. Hourihane and Alessandra were fantastic- did everything except score. And to be fair they both should have scored. |
