Thanks for deleting 'that' thread Empty
PostSubject: Thanks for deleting 'that' thread   Thanks for deleting 'that' thread EmptyWed Dec 07, 2011 10:37 pm

Whatever the reason for deleting the thread started by Rickler earlier I think it is a positive.

Was on about 4/5 replies when I last read it but I can view ATD on my mobile but can't comment (does anyone know how to do that by the way?).

Anyhow, its not easy but very slowly I felt progress is being made towards building a few bridges - it will now be quick.

Hopefully we can now move forward again!

Chris

It was a guest posting as "riddler". But an unwanted post nonetheless.

Unless I missed something, I thought the only one quarantined was a comment about IJN's alleged private hobby. It was posted by "a guest". Fifth columnists will be expected.

I might have missed something else, though. Happens more and more nowadays.

Sorry about that - dodgy eyesight on the phone. Apologies Rickler.

Glad it was removed.

Hi Chris, I tried the mobile version yesterday and could not post either, scroll down and tap classic version and it is back to normal.
The mobile version appears to be a stripped down reader version, very clear to read, I am a smart phone newbie.

That's all right, Chris...

Now I understand the "barrage of bile" quote - You got me mixed up with someone else on another website perhaps?

I can post from my blackberry. Just need to go into classic version and then log in as usual (although the ATD mobile version is a bit cumbersome)

A lot of people are looking in now, it's a pity that Chris makes such mistakes, it's not doing his credibility much good when they judge him.

Poor old Ricks ... gets the blame for everything since Jumbo Jack Chisolm left. clown
For information, nothing has changed. We insist on having a Trust forum open to all, members and guests alike ... as it should be.
This site has never allowed 'guests' to post purely abusive posts on this site. Never. Why would we ? The rather one eyed reputation spread around by some is not the reality.

Hmm...wouldn't be somebody trying to get the site closed down would it?

Or am I just an old conspiracy theorist.

Chris would say it's just a simple mistake and who would doubt him, but I'm pleased he raised it again for all to judge.

My first thought was one of his "friends of Porkus" from Exeweb.

But Chris made a mistake. The prat who posted it has been sent to where they belong. It's not a big deal.

My impression was it was someone with a gripe against ATD rather than against a specific person.

It matters not. The trust forum is open to guests and always will be. If they continue in the same vein as a guest, they'll run out of ISPs sooner or later and will always leave animal tracks. I'm surprised the President picked up on it so quickly.
