Plymouth Argyle 'very confident' game against York will go ahead
PLYMOUTH Argyle are ‘very confident’ their game against York City at Home Park on Saturday will survive the continuing wet weather.
There are no plans for a pitch inspection, but the club have promised to keep fans informed should the situation change.
A club statement, issued at 1.30pm today, read: “Despite the recent inclement conditions, we remain very confident that the game against York City will be on.
“As it stands, the pitch is fine, and taking into account the current weather forecast we do not foresee any problems. We have no pitch inspection planned.
“Obviously, we are keen for the game to be on to give us a chance of continuing our strong recent form and to give the Green Army something to brighten their weekend.
“We will inform fans immediately should matters change.”
