| Graham Carey was in attendance at Fir Park on Tuesday night to watch Motherwell take on Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership. That will have some fans wondering whether or not the Steelmen are interested in signing the player as Carey's contract situation at Home Park is still up in the air. Derek Adams has offered the playmaker a new deal but as things stand, Carey has not confirmed one way or another whether or not he will stick around to represent the Pilgrims in League One. Carey went to Motherwell's game with partner Rachel. She posted a picture of the two of them at Home Park on her Instagram account. (Date night with my one & only. Fir Park... But it was nice to have some much needed time just us ❤️ @gcarey10 [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]) After all, Carey spent most of his career prior to joining Argyle playing in Scotland. And former team-mate Carl McHugh is also on the books at Motherwell - the man who told Adams he would sign a new deal with Argyle last summer before joining Motherwell less than three days later. McHugh scored in the game as the home side won 3-1. It must also be remembered that Carey insisted in the aftermath of Argyle's 1-1 draw with Grimsby on the final day of the season that he would "need a holiday" before deciding what his next move would be. | Adams is no mug, he would have already worked out a team plan and incomers list based on Carey playing elsewhere next season, as a contingency. |

| There has been some talk about GC joining an SPL team. Interesting article on the Beeb site about wages at Aberdeen. I mean if we can't match most SPL teams (Celtic are excused) then something is wrong. Makes me re-think the whole McHugh event. McInnes highlighted the massive gap in resources from his club to Brendan Rodgers' Scottish Premiership champions, who were unbeaten in their domestic season. "My weekly budget for my whole squad will equate to one of their players' salaries," he said. "We are working at roughly £42,000 a week for our whole squad and we've spent £200,000 putting this team together - one player.[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

Carey is off this much we can all agree with where he is off too is open to debate my guess given his family live in Scotland he will seek a move up there or a northern team in league 1/championship. I just really really hope Del Bhey and the club dont wait on Carey to say hes going which he can keep them waiting till July 1st when his deal expires before they start looking at possible replacements and ignore other areas of the team in the meantime. |

| Peterborough United interested in having Carey ?. Kick in the teeth if he went there, but they do have a wealthy backer so they could easily offer more wages than Argyle could.
I really hope Carey decides to stay, but this is football and you never know. Only he has the answer and he should reveal it around about now. That way, Adams can go about building the side for the challenges of League One with or with out Carey. |

| This silky attacking midfielder needs to be Sheffield United’s next signing
It has been a season to remember for Sheffield United fans with manager Chris Wilder finally guiding them to the Championship after a number of frustrating seasons in League One.
But now they have to ensure that they can maintain their stay in the Championship and the addition of some quality players to an already talented squad will give them a great opportunity to do this.
A creative midfielder is vital in the Championship and one player they could bring in to fill this description could be Plymouth Argyle’s Graham Carey.
Carey has been the stand out player not only in the Plymouth side but in the whole of League Two and with his contract set to expire this summer, The Blades should make a move for the Irishman.
The 28-year-old would provide flair and some bite to any midfield in League One or the Championship and is a dead ball specialist with his wand of a left foot.
On a free transfer, Carey would be an outstanding signing for The Blades this summer. |

He would certainly replace Tanner. I said on the ainsworth thread that this was likely the last we will see of Tanner with this signing.as for carey i think adams will find that a bit more of a tricky hole to fill |

| Is dragging on a tad now then ?. It has been an age since the season ended. Surely he would have by now made a statement on or of his intention for next season.
Either he is banking on that higher offer from another club or he has accepted the offer Argyle have made and is readying himself for pre-season training (which will arrive rather quickly).
The former is highly possible, but the same can be said of the latter.
