Everybody knows what this thread is about, if you don't like it don't read it............i've managed to avoid Pete's wordgame and Peggy's thread for months.  

Why was my post moved to here? Is this a case of nobody can make any sort of comment on anything anymore even if it is tongue in cheek? Did somebody have a little cry to moderation or was this moderation at it's best doing things for itself. If the above post is considered offensive enough to be moved then somebody is going to have an awful lot of work to do around here.

There have been complaints about the arguing -not by anybody involved in the arguing btw- and our solution was to move the argument here, the next step if this doesn't work is to suspend posters for a couple of days to cool off, we would rather not do any of it Sensi compare us to the farm mods if you will but your feet wouldn't touch the ground over there mate.

Ok in the context of "the argument" as you call it.    Not every post is in that context if anyone bothers to read them.    This particular post has nothing to do with any of that and was a tongue in cheek little dig at the merits of Tring being on the board of AFT.     Like for example he could do a favour for his mate Rickler.     If you are going to move posts and be consistent across the board then you will have to move quite a few.   For example there is a post by punchdrunk on another thread sarcastically aimed at hairy and little to do with the subject as such.    Think that was about racist comment heard at ground.     I'm sure there are plenty more.

I've tended to butt out of the name calling bit recently even though the provocation to respond has been there.    You know the sort of thing "cock son of cock" etc.     That's having a pop at me even if I'm not posting just to get a reaction and we are accused of trolling, how ironic.    

I don't like Rickler which is no secret.    I think he is a humourless fucktard so far up his own arse.    He holds a grudge worse than any female I've ever met and loves to stick his poison in at every possible opportunity.    He hates it if anyone gives anything back.    I am not that kean on SS68 or punchdrunk who act like Beavis and Butthead impersonators in my book with nothing much to say.     Safe to say they don't like me much either.    I don't care what they think but am not going to sit here and be ripped by anyone just for having an opinion on something they don't agree with.    It's become easy hasn't it.     "You're boring".    Branded by Tring originally and because you aren't in their gang is taken up by the morons who follow blindly and don't have an opinion of their own.    I won't start any arguments in future but I am not about to sit back and let Nigel vent his spite at every post I make and not respond.    So ban away if you have to but please be a bit more selective with the movement of posts.

I have some agreement with what you say sensible. I have some disagreement also.

Speaking as one who's come in for more than his fair share of abuse on here, I've never really understood the need to respond to abuse. What difference is it going to make? Most of the time I've avoided doing that - most of the time ....... I know what I am and if some person on an internet forum who has never met me has an opinion that seriously unsettles that personal view I have I really do need to examine myself. I can be an idiot at times and sometimes a boring idiot. I don't need someone else to let me know. Neither does any name I'm ever called really bother me that much unless it came from somebody I know. Do you really think that calling names back is enhancing your self? What do you think you're achieving? Why not lock yourself in a darkened room and shout insults - it will have the same effect.

Any poster in the past or in the future who becomes a mod will make mistakes. Nobody's perfect. Mods if they're doing their jobs properly have to at least flick through all forums to make sure that things aren't going wrong in any way (and I know there's a whole long debate there). There has been discussion in the mod-room about the feckin stupid arguments involving non-stop abuse. The present solution may not be perfect but, in my opinion, it's better than having it infect every thread as it was threatening to do.

I have to say though, the standard of cyber bashing is that of a ten year old, if you're going to do it use a bit of imagination, flare and intelligence or you all risk being perceived as the thick tw@ts that you all are.

as far as i know i've only fell out with three posters on this forum, one of those knecht i went over the top at on a few occasions for which i'm not proud, some of the name calling by me is juvenile its true, but i only respond to the troll when provoked, ii would love to ignore him and his old man, but it just does not seem possible, so i think its best for everyone to have all the shit on one thread, then if it bothers you dont read it.

Nigel you really do need a life before your spleen actually does explode. Life style advice. Spend more time out by the swimming pool and talk to people, real ones, rather than in your darkened den plotting. It's much more healthy.
