Full highlights from 1970 Big Match of Fulham v Argyle.

Johnny Hore here, there and everywhere and a youthful Colin Sullivan among the many standouts..

Were just happy anybody posts anything anywhere really.  

Great find.I'll watch it all later but Derek Rickard has already hit the post and my eyes are misting over for the times when Argyle wore a proper kit.

Good fast paced game,technically quite accomplished as well.Great to see some of the names,Burnside,Sullivan,Hutchins,Dunne,Hore,Saxton,Allen,Rickard etc,can't remember much about Shepherd or Woolridge though.Most of that team would walk into the present outfit and that isn't just rose tinted nostalgia either.Argyle didn't finish very high that year but gradually got better over the next few seasons,culminating in the league cup semi final and promotion in the mid 1970's.Happy days.

Just had a look - brilliant stuff particularly after yesterdays shambles and am looking forward to Greens on the screen tomorrow at the Jill Cragie cinema.

I can remember going to Fulham when Warnock was in charge, got spanked about 3 or 4 nil i think, took about 2 or 3 thousand away fans and stood on the Hammersmith Terrace,the ground  looked pretty much the same as it does in this video. Nice authentic ground is Craven Cottage.
The crowd was around 5,500  and it was Fulhams biggest attendance that season, thanks to the Green Army.

I remember trevor sheppard, we signed him from coventry for ten grand, he scored a load of goals for torquay while on loan there, needless to say when he joined argyle he was total crap! though it was forty three years ago ten grand is still more than speccy will spend on a player!
