Graham Clark appears to think that there is still room for improvements in the proposals for the new stand. I hope there is but, whatever, some interesting figures here.

So, in a nutshell then Graham.

When/if Argyle get badck to the Championship, we'll be coooking on gas.

I don't quite understand the argument that we have corporate/banqueting faclities at the moment I really don't.

The stand is a crap hole, the Business Lounge is way, way past its best, and the GT Suite has served PAFC and now the GT's well, but it's hardly the Ritz is it?

Get the stand built, fill that desert of football aka Mayflower Steps, and surely it's got to be upwards and onwards .class post from porky

Why on earth do people harp on about what we have now? It's decrepit and quite frankly embarrassing.

too easy, anyone wish to make the comparison? Very Happy

If its so decrpeit and frankly embarrassing,

Why does he sit in the poor old decrepit directors box every week and use the old embarrasing board room!

Go sit in a part of the 'new stand'

Newell and Ponty used to be ordinary fans, don't they remember what that felt like? We have a chance to IMPROVE the grandstand and although they can't think of a coherent argument to not having a supporters bar in the new grandstand ( lower case) is that they can't think of a better argument than not having a supporters bar is better than not having one now? Feck me I'm half pissed and it don't make sense to me? scratch  popcorn

Me neither, but even it if there were to be a supporters bar the last thing the brothers grim would want would to be having to slum it with the minions and Plebs, they could of course run it along the same lines as the Pyramid suite and the fan-fests jocolor

Get it built.

Look where we were before Brent came along scratch A much more attractive proposition to anyone looking to build a cinema and hotel than we are now.

How much debt are we in again? An extra £30k a year rent so that Brent makes more money he absolutely won't be investing in the club and the bulk of the staff back pay due soon which will be another debt for the club. I know we owe the money but how the feck can Brent be feathering his nest like he is and our debt just keeps growing and growing again?

If it goes on like this much longer, and we won't be a League 1 club anytime soon, we'll be almost back where we were before Brent came along but minus any land therefore any hope of anyone else wanting to buy the club once Brent's made his money and his lip has stopped quivering.

I wonder if he'll want the whole debt the club owes him in one go or if he'll go for a 5 year plan where we pay it back bit by bit with the help of the GT's who will fundraise by having fanfests somewhere in Devon big enough to cater for 400+ Argyle fans wanting a pint and a pasty?

What the club needs and what Graham Clark has alluded to is a big fans bar capable of accommodating 400+..That guy has vision...should be on the Argyle board...

AS it seems brent will not build a fans bar in the new mini stand why not build one behind the demport.

Apparently the club will make 1-2 million pounds a year from people having banquets, selling replica shirts, scarfs, pin badges and from the rent of the retail outlets.....which errrrr wont go to the club.
If there is going to be a bar it will have to be paid for by the fans and now seemingly well away from HP.

Stitched up well and truly.

Brents supporters and Toadies deserve to be Tarred and Feathered over this

THE last remaining remote option of the extension of HP would well and truly be put to bed then.

Who? Graham Clark?

If ever there were an opportunity for fan representation at that level, he would be perfect. He isn't a yes-man in the mould of Newell Hooper or JonB though, and Brent is savvy enough not to want someone as clever as Graham Clark asking questions in an official capacity.

So the chance of that ever happening is virtually zero.

Graham Clark was the best chairman the AFT ever had.Now if he was still on board then the AFT would have been a force to be reckoned with,as it is nowadays...paper tiger....

GC has been prolific in his understanding and knowledge, it's a pity Brent didn't take him under his wing rather then the present leaches, he could have brought an awful lot of benefits for the Club and the fans without the insatiable appetite for recognition at any cost and even at the cost of the Club that the present one or two have.

I thought you said that was going to happen? A replacement for the Far Post Club which could hold fanfests?

By the way Porky is being vague about it all you just know that he knows there aint going to be anything going in the grandstand that will do either of those things.

Graham Clark would be excellent in any capacity of fan engagement but he was the Trust leader before and has now seen what your cuntish bunch of mates do when they feel like sticking the knife into the Trust board.

Imagine having that hysterical little fuckwit Jameson let loose on another Pasoti account to slag him off aided and abetted by PL2 FACE, Webb, Newell, Jones and the others? Hooper snooping around in his background for skeletons?

Nah I think GC would tell them where to stick it if someone suggested he took on such a role again.

Personally, if there is not a decent sized supporters club / bar in the new stand for ordinary fans, than I would rather carry on sitting in my current seat after spending a couple of hours in a falling down Far Post club with friends. Without that in the last couple of years I would have probably have given up going. I wasn't the only one who thought socialising with friends in the Far Post before and after the game was more important than watching the football. Or more to the point, the lack of football.

And another of the feckin gang pops up to reveal what a hypocritic he is too.

Posted tonight by Wozzer on Pasoti:

I have nothing to add to this debate apart from a thank you.

This is why I joined PASOTI several years ago to read sensible, mature debates like this. It is heartening to see that the true spirit of PASOTI is still there and that is what makes it the stand out site for Argyle supporters when it is conducted in this way.

feck me these wankers really believe their shit doesn't stink! Deepthroat anyone?

Is that a bar for big fans or a big bar for fans?

I think you mean how much do the fans owe the GT's?  Brent is just a 'bridging' loan.

The fans paying off the debt James Brent assumed - whilst he used the assets of PAFC for his personal gain - and then not even supplying the fans a watering hole in the grandstand where they could drown their sorrows over the situation, really is the ultimate insult.

The letter from James Greenacre (10th July) advising that the Far Post will not be open this season states:

"A members' bar will be provided in the new Grandstand, details of which will be available as soon as possible"

How many members does the Far Post Club have currently? I can't see the new "members" bar having the same capacity.

they used to allow supporters groups entry as 'group' members dont know if thats still the case?
no doubt any 'new' bar will have a hefty sub BUT if run as a members club cheap ale as they wouldnt be subject to pubco pricing
