I think that the posters who moan about being called names only see the name calling when it suits them, posters both sides of the fence have been good at it from what I can see, I get called a Cnut much more than I hand it out personally. I think the problem with some is that they feel challenged when operating in a free environment, they need Sir to help them out in the playground when they pick a fight with the wrong person, man up would be my advice.

The named posters are among the dodgier characters in the Argyle internet sphere anyway...
Damon does stuff for charity. Just ask Lee. Hello Lee. He also is NOT FIT for the Plimuff Argo Supporters of Brent committee. Because he was BAD 10 years ago.
John Lloyd apparently "plays games". Sounds dodgy to me. Hello Ian. Where wuz 'e in the WOR?
Graham Clark was ousted by our esteemed people's hero, the People's President Chris Webb as Trust Leader. He was too much of a thinker!
I'd rather not be associated with such riff.

In reference to the pitch condition and various other statements made on this forum here are the 'facts'. 1. The pitch size is 105m x 68m which is FIFA international regulation size. It has been this exact size since reconstruction in 2010. 2. Plymouth Argyle are a division 4 club and the budget for pitch maintenance is normal. It is a true statement to say that PAFC want a good playing surface (some clubs don't care too much) and the chairman and board provide adequate resources to achieve this. 3. All items for pitch maintenance are purchased by the club, to state that the groundsman purchases them ( which would be in excess of his monthly salary) is ridiculous in the extreme. 4. The pitch is in excellent condition and the best pitch in the division (not opinion but fact as currently holder of groundsman/pitch of the year award). 5. It is not possible to state what condition the pitch will be in during the season but if I were a betting man I would say a condition that Home park and the lower divisions have never seen the likes of before. 6. To make 'here say' statements about club employees is not doing anyone any favours. As football fans its normal to give opinions on players. Please do not make the mistake of crossing over and talking about club employees, it is highly irresponsible and libellous at best.

"Damien" I would argue posted equally as much on here as on the farm if not more but at the moment I believe he's busy being the Antichrist for the summer.
When he decides to return to posting on forums he will be welcomed back on ATD as he's an interesting and intelligent poster but on the farm he will be ridiculed by Nooligan and his henchmen because they are jealous that Damon has been there in the boardroom where Nooligan can only dream about currently.

I left the non-facts in your post there.

A slightly different first post from Mutternutter but still welcome on board as well Davec.
Can I ask if you are the Argyle head groundsman?
Obviously a couple of posters on here have been told that there were problems and have simply repeated those rumours on here, just like another rumour about the groundsman having to take a pay cut or was leaving due to an issue with the salary was posted earlier this year. If you are the groundsman you could put to bed all of those rumours and then we would all know not to listen to such rumours in future.

If an adequate resource is not being provided which is what you are inferring by saying it is not a fact can you please explain to me and the others why the pitch is in the condition it is now?
I don't understand why you point out item 6 is a non fact when it is clearly a point of opinion and behaviour not fact relating to the pitch.

Thing is jock this rumour came from a person who I would say was a trusted poster and would not say things unless he believes them true.

Interesting, it seems we have a Division 4 (not heard that description for years) pitch budget, yet as far as I am aware we have a pitch that requires a Premier pitch budget, Dave?

Who is your source that the pitch is perfectly fine and the budget is fully adequate for maintaining it for the season?
Richard Blight isn't the kind of person to post shite without having heard it from a reliable source.
The whisper was doing the rounds at the Cheltenham match. A friend of mine text me and if you wish I could show you that text? Your honour.

It wont be like that in 2 or 3 months:lol!:
To be fair i remember the pitch in the 80,s ..the whole centre circle and most of the penalty areas was brown dirt

Is that why the players hoof the ball as high as possible then? So that nobody looks at the ground. I was at that match and can't say I noticed anything untoward about the pitch. It looked fine to me. Whilst I wouldn't have put it so boringly as davec did of course I agree with him. I'm not the head groundsman either in case anyone wondered.

Seems like he spent days meticulously composing his first post, pity he didn't rehearse his follow up though. As soon as people questioned his "facts" he collapsed like a cheap tent. Must try a bit harder next time dave.

Lets look at the facts shall we...you have all seen the pitch with your own eyes, the players management and long standing people associated with the club are all stating the pitch is the best ever at home park this season......then one paragraph on a forum states the pitch is a disaster and no money is being spent on it....can you see how you look ? I repeat how is the pitch in its present condition if the rescources are not adequate?
