i dont care about the result personally. Nothing is gained dicking elburton 12-0 nor is it the end of the world if we only win 1-0. Its all about fitness and preparation as is all the other pre season games.

It's this kind of thinking that leads us to being the losers that we are.

Yes... The hackneyed old "all about fitness and preparation" is partially true, but we should absolutely run Elburton off the park and put at least six past them.

On past performances..  Somehow I doubt that we will.

Every time we've been shit pre-season the shitness has carried on into the season. Last time we had a good pre-seaon (which was under Ollie) we had a good season.

Hit the nail on the head their Ricks
Remember last season when we beat the mighty Saltash 1-0, i heard the same murmurs about that old chestnut "preparation and fitness"
I was unconvinced to say the least....he who laughs last laughs the longest, if it was funny that is which it certainly aint..its just soberingly dull.

This is the team (from the wanker who does the twitter feed)-

Argyle starting with 'Made in Plymouth' front six - Vass, Youngy, River, Ben Purrington, Tyro, Matty #pafc

Plymouth Argyle FC ‏@Only1Argyle 18m
Argyle back five v Elburton at Haye Road is: Jake; Max, Wottsy, Martin John, Tuomas Rannankari. Latter two are trialists #pafc

Argyle are 1-0 up through LeCointe. Blanchard has had one disallowed for offside and Vassell has had a shot cleared off the line

we could put 20 past them but what benefit is that going to do? it will just prove another argument that we should be playing higher calibre teams than ones in a pub league.

we need a RB to give Berry cover and competition. Blanchard and Nelson cant play there well imo. Hopefully one of the LB on trial can play there and is good enough to sign to combat this problem.

Martin John is being played at CB- so he could be versatile?

Back in.

Found a camra boozer with a ciderfest on so some scrumpy cider consumed.

Balti - lovely with some Tarka Dhal.

Now home to listen to the match and probably Luther followed by the highlights of the Tour de France.

How life is without children and women. Very Happy

Last pre season under team clueless was a shambles we need to stuff these teams no gash excuses about fitness, confidence comes from battering local teams and taking good form into the league season, shezza's a pro so its bound to be better than last seasons disgrace.

Had a very youthful forward line in the first half, now it's Reid and Morgan who must surely score 10 each?
